Hi people
Someone can give me hints on how to make a lot of money? I mean, I start like with 2500, but don't get much with each year, because I must pay the staff, and don't get a lot from taxes
And how to get more and more people? I sometimes explore but find like mines and that but buying a place costs from 15000 to 50000.

@Bookrage, Colossal Halflings is such a cool concept haha. Yeah as the dev it's a super fun system for me because I can never ever predict what I'll get spawning and sometimes the combinations can be surprising.

@Ulisesmonge40, Some tips would be more taxes, capturing locations in the world when exploring, gambling, building upgrades that increase money, etc

Think I found a bug.
So I've sent someone to train in the combat academy
[Your first champion Alwyn the Joustling is now training here]                                                         
But when I'm back at the main screen of the academy the train option is showing the following. x) your Grand Champion Uthdyn the Treacherous Battler is currently undergoing training here                             . Now that's obviously a different name, hence why I think it's a bug.

I've been wondering if you can make it so we're able to make use of all these ruined places when exploring. Places that are either ruined by default or are ruined because we destroyed them. Maybe an option to clean up all the ruins and then construct something? You know, perhaps a tavern, or a market. Or perhaps a magical fruit farm to extend the income

I realy like the new explorable areas, hope more will follow, be it small or bigger ones. The exploration and discovering new things is one aspect I realy like in warsim. And I realy hope that you care about backups of the source code, how, since it would be a shame if the same happens, like in the wastes, especially if the amount of work is considered wich you already put into the game.

Can someone do short tutorial for me how to get started with warsim? Please? But this stupid tutorial on YouTube in first post is very hard to understand because this is not blind person playing it

Shouldn't make a difference if they blind or not as long as they explain it well. The game does try to teach you when you first start your kingdom, and you can even have the instructions simplified now if I remember rightly.

I am already excited about more detailed battles with more narrated actions and such. Hope the weapons will be a thing as well. And I hope that the AI will be able to send mercenary groups as well, like the player can do. That will make the game more challenging, maybe this could be made optional. Thought in terms of combat, it would be good to give a heads up on this as well.

Cheers Niklas, I'm making good progress on the combat stuff at the moment.

I've recently been working on a ton of events for all sorts of things:

- When the battle begins races that have good or bad effects from weather show notifications, ie Solar Elves getting a bonus at daytime, or Fire Gnomes getting a bonus during the rare flaming rain weather.

- I've done a ton of events for the battle start moment, ie how the two kingdoms clash, what the attacker does during their charge etc, and their around 100 different battle start events.

- Then I worked on random weather events which are special events that can happen during extreme weather, there are around 60

- And now I'm working on random events that can take place in battle, and also each have many variants and alternate versions for different weather, as of yesterday I hit 100

So my hopes are with all of this content, and more in the future. Each battle will no longer just be a spam of who died, but will instead be a series of interesting events.

As for the mercs that's something worth noting for sure, the weapon thing isn't in my focus just yet but it could be something to keep in mind for sure.

This combat update is sounding fantastic!

I'm a huge fan of turn based events, be they commanding an army or just rpg fights, where you have to actually consider an ongoing set of factors and play a situation to your best advantage, rather than have everything effectively decided before hand by who has minimaxed the best equipment/units/powers.

For weapons, if there are so many other really dynamic events, had you considered simply adding weapons as basic flavour text, perhaps with minimal combat modifiers as you did in the wastes, similar to the way champions work now.

For example, you just get a description of an army and then a passage about them "wielding their dirty well made toxic bronze polearms!"

With each descriptor, bronze, toxic, well made, dirty, polearm, giving a slight plus or minus to battle score.

That way you wouldn't need to worry too much about really complex weapons in the game or major production chains, but could still have them in there as part of the over all flavour of things, and a way to make different forces more unique, especially if you had different armourers offering to rearm your troops with various weapons of their design, which could be better or worse than what your army already had.

Good suggestion regarding weapons dark. I thought about weapns as well because the random weapon generator is already in the game, wich could make things realy interesting.

@Niklas, yeah I remember the random weapon generator.
Of course, dynamic weapons and events would rock, EG being able to use long polearms to fight cavelry, having use of shields decreased death count, artillery being great in defence etc, however it already sounds like Wastelander is putting a massive amount of work into the combat update as it is, so having a relatively minimal, but still interesting weapons system, based on existing in game code and factors might be a nice compromise, as well as just plane fun!

I would love to see my forces armed with rancid legendry platinum radioactive chainsaw nun chucks big_smile.

I really really hold back from updating the game right now just because i'm waiting for the combat release to be out. It's so exciting just hearing how it goes now.

Why do ghost hunters have to hunt ghosts? Well, there's a fear of being ghosted out there. They may need therapy as well as their ghost hunting kit.
