I saw a trailer on YouTube that got me all giddy inside.

Then I ran a search on Google and found this article

Looks like its coming to all major platdorms, including pc, ps4, Xbox, switch and stadia, with all dlc included this holiday.

I still have it on ps3 with all the dlc, but would love to have it portable on the switch. Is anyone else excited about this?

For anyone who is unaware, Scott pilgrim vs the world is a very playavle 2d 8-bit inspired beat em up with stereo sound, and a rocking chip tune soundtrack. It was released about 7 years ago for 360 and ps3, but since it got delisted, fans have been crying out for its return, and so here it is. smile

Never heard of it, but any new playable game announcement is interesting, so will be glad if I can pick it up to add to my playable switch games collection.
Edit: This sounds very, very retro style, especially the music in the trailer.
I can't say I'm a fan of 8/16 byt sounds, but I won't judge a book by it's cover either smile

The nice thing is that you can hear things coming, from speeding cars to specific attack patterns of bosses. There are occasional edges, but you only lose a bit of health for falling off, and the characters will level up permanently over time to give you an edge in combat.

omfg omfg omfg! This is very widely regarded by many as the best beat 'em up ever made. I missed out on it the first time through, and I'm totally buying this on every platform. Didn't scott pilgrim's creator even mention that he was making it his life mission to get this game relisted? Think I remember hearing that somewhere.

Take care, it's a desert out there.

Hi.
THanks for sharing. I'm not sure if I would like it because of the sounds, but I might give it a try.

Best regards SLJ.

Wow nice! Gotta check this.

Hmm, the game sounds cool, but the 8bit sounds do turn me off there, so i think I'll pass.

Well, the 8-bit audio is just something I love. It is not something surprising most of the people will pass just because 8-bit but they are forgetting about something most important: The gameplay than audio / graphic elements.

Yup, yall want more mainstream playable games, here is a very playable one. The 8-bit sound, and the blend of 8-bit and guitar in the music is a stylistic choice by the developers, because Scott Pilgrim is originally a comic series that revolves around classic videogame culture. Not suture its still there, but netflix has the movie that came out alongside the game, and its also audio described.

At 13 true, the gameplay is certainly the most important thing here and I won't deny that, but well, how should I put it, I am not a fan of 8bit sounds, simple as that.

Can't remember where i reas this, but the game is now slated for release on January 14th of next year.

I watched the movie last week and it was funny as hell. Not the most intellectual of comedy but I have nothing against some really stupid humor from time to time.

We are pleased, that you made it through the final challenge, where we pretended we were going to murder you. We are throwing a party in honor of your tremendous success. Place the device on the ground, then lay on your stomach with your arms at your sides. A party associate will arrive shortly to collect you for your party. Assume the party submission position or you will miss the party.

I agree. Its on netflix now if anyone still hasn't seen it.
