I realise I'm probably doing a lot more harm than good on this forum right now, so this will probably be the last post I'll make in quite a while. You all should know where you can find me, I'd hate to lose touch with some of the good people on this forum, especially in these times. You and rory both, being a teen is tough but with the internet and tuns of podcasts and youtube videos out there, plus online and hopefully some offline friends, you'll make it through.

God sake guys. You bitch at Rory for not releasing it, then you bitch at him for releasing it? Can you make up your mind? Please? This is getting annoying to see. I sort of figured this would happen, just looking at the reactions in the not being released topic. I can totally feel Rory. School is hard. I just finished 8th grade, but 6th and 7th really kicked me in the ass mentally. After those grades, I was in a horrible place. I lashed out, was a jerk, and just a horrible person. I'm still, quite honestly, recovering from that. I feel like my life will get less stress free now that a lot of my classes next year will be online but not everyone has that option and I'm sure that it'll still take it's tole on me. No doubt some of you at least have seen one of the times I lashed out. 8th grade wasn't as bad for me, but school is hard. I only really got into coding in 8th grade anyways. So give the dude a break. School is hard and you can't always keep all promises you make. This does, however, circle back to my statement that you really shouldn't give release dates, at least exact dates on games, or anything for that matter.

you guys might not agree with it but I'm going to say this,
stop giving devs/people emotional attention
we all are here to consume audio games.
if you have a constructive feed back? put it in the most constructive way possible. if the dev is not paying atttention to it? or you dont like the game, move on and try something else. we have a lot to check out.
if you feel that   a perticular dev will not take your neggitive feedbacks into conssideration, stop throwing the dirt around.
you have the right to raise your voice if you have paid for the product, if not, you really shouldn't  comment on the project in the snappy way as in it's your own project. just put up your feedback if you feel it'll help the project.
we offen get pissed off if someone decides to leave the community and comes back all of a suddern like nothing happened. it's we who feed them attention. it doesn't really matters if someone comes back, you have the ability to skip over the topics if it doesn't suits you.
in this case, instead of checking out the game, people are passing comments on the guy, weather he should develop the games, he should do this, do that, I'm pretty sure he'll figure the things  out after a certain age. we learn from our mistakes.

I don’t understand this at all. How does a topic about a small game escalate into whatever this is? I love conflict and all, but it Hass to have context, and for me at least, conflict in the audio games community doesn’t seem to have any. It just seems to come out of nowhere.

Interesting. On one hand, people telling somebody they are going to do something and then not doing it is quite irresponsible to say the least, especially multiple times. On the other hand, these games are most likely incomplete, and if he is so busy with school, then maybe he shouldn’t be making so many promises. I know what it is like to have a ton of ideas in your head. It’s quite hard to sort through them all, but that must be especially hard when you actually know how to put those ideas into a program and make it into a game. Can’t blame him, but hopefully this may teach him that you shouldn’t make promises you can’t keep, or at least that he should finish something before moving onto the next thing. It’s a shame really, because this game feels like quite the interesting small project, so if allowed to complete this, this could’ve been something groundbreaking, but if what he has done before is anything to go by, then maybe what we got now is all we are ever going to get, and I’m fine with that to be honest. perhaps he should consult with people who actually have time on their hands with his ideas, and only take part when and where he can.

Don't break him or we'll have another Danny Standley on our hands. I don't think it's fair to fuck someone over that hard. I mean, that guy clearly wishes to remain where he was or he'd do something about it, but he got taken advantage of by people and turn in various directions and wasn't strong or mature enough to say no.

Maybe Rory just wants validation. When you're older, you realize it's not important to get it from people you don't know, but he's young and probably doesn't know any better. Those types of people are dangerous to themselves because they seek approval and will do anything to get it.

I don't like what he's done in the past, what types of things he's been involved with, and I don't really think anything has changed all that much. He's damned no matter what he does though, and that's no way to live life.
