I like it for a few reasons.
1.  It's going to showcase who actually trusts you enough to believe the best of you and who's going to assume the worst of you.  Will all of them just assume you didn't do the work you were entrusted to do?  Only that prank will tell.
2.  It'll showcase how many of them want to place the blame on you when it seems the chips are down, if in fact what you say is true and they're just going to string you and make you do practically all the work.  At the end the teacher will have to at the very least grudgingly respect you because they tried to make it seem like you didn't do anything when in fact you did.
3.  It'll teach them, if in fact they're teachable, that they shouldn't just assume.
Now, here's where things might get dicy.  If you're trying to do it to make yourself look like a bleeding hero?  Just knock it off before you even begin.  That's gonna backfire on you real quick.  I like the idea in the manner you described it, but don't make it one about either glory or entirely based on revenge.  Think it through real carefully and try to play it out as you described it, nothing more, nothing less.

my sense of fairness wants me to agree with Nocturnus, whilst my hard fought sense of optimism wants me to agree with Slj.
On the other hand, my pessimism, which I can say grew quite a lot due to school experiences, wants to say people will probably dislike you either way, especially at school.

Indeed, I tried a similar thing to this at one point back when I actually was under the misapprehension that my own secondary school was not a shit hole, and it went very badly.

So, if you think this is worth a try, I'd suggest following Nocturnus' advice, not overdoing things or puffing yourself up to do others down, just a way to see who trusts you and who does not.

Yesterday, Darius was like, Jaidon, doh boder. Then he told akshay to do it themselves, then when the teacher asked, they;d say Jaidon didn't do shit.
For the first 4 seconds, I was like, I'm not gonna do shit. Then I realised; I'm better at writing presentations then they are, and they don't have one piece of info: PPP. Then I got this crazy idea.

Believe it or not, I'm actually good at playing mind games with people. When I was a young boy, I would read my aunt's sychology books and learn from it. I tae the time to learn and analyse people, so that's how I'm 98% sure this will work.
