Set RAM_FOOTSTEP_FUNCTION to the equivalent address in the patched ROM. The version I have uses 0x2984. If that doesn't work, it most likely moved by a few bytes; you should be able to find it with the disassembler in VBA.

Woot thanks! I just need to figure out how to get the info from the disasembler but footsteps definitely work now
In the lua folder should be one called lang, and in lang another called eng. In the eng folder is a file called ram.lua. edit that with something like notepad and change the number at the end of the ram_footstep_function to 0x2984, then save and close the file and run the scripts as normal.
Hey folks! I'm wondering does this emulator supports rooms from other languages like spanish or portuguese?
Best regards, Haramir.
Yeah, it supports other languages.
BTW, I really hate when users say "room" instead of "ROM". I wonder why...
Thanks! Didn't mean to awake your anger I was terribly sleepy when I posted the question.
Best regards, Haramir.
No problem. But I'm curious about why people call it as room. Even some blind players of Latin America make that mistake.
run haha.
Well never heard that before. Well i was eaven testing other roms, pokemon yellow worked fine but nvda was spamming with dialogs, like hi, my name is.... hi my name is... hi my name is, and it was only dooing it.
Also food steeps weren't playing but its normal for hacks or other roms than pokemon crystal it self
Hey guys, does anyone of you know this Pokémon For Blind People thing?
The concept is similar to this script, using VBA-ReRecording. But this do not have the NVDA Controller Client, so the text is output to the output console of the dialog to open lua scripts in the emulator. It was started (and abandoned) in 2014. I'm curious.
So, I'm having that nvda issue which was mentioned earlier in the topic, where most everything that is read as play button then whatever text. Anyone find a fix for it?
Hello, you may have to set your punctuation and symbols to none, in nvda preferences, however you won't get the info if the pokemon you encounter is male or female. Is anyone playing cristal clear? I can't enter the worl island, though i recently got the silver ring from the light house...
I play crystal clear, but I don't enter lighthouse
I really want to get squirtle, but do i really have to make the light house thing?
does this work with windows 10? saw a few topics on here with people having problems. will give it a shot though.
Anyway to mute just the music? I want to hear the other sounds just don't want the music or at least turn it down less than .25?
No. What one of my mates ended up doing is make nvda dump the audio and that seemed to work fine. Besides, pokemon music is so classic and iconic, I couldn't imagine a pokemon game being complete without it.
hows crystal clear, different from crystal anniversary?
Cc is more open world so you can tackle any gym in any order and rechallenge any gym. All trainers scale to the number of badges you have. You can change some of the music and there are tons new tracks. There are over 20 starters and you can start from canto or johto. This game takes place 1 years after the original crystal and there are new maps, quests and npcs. Don't wanna say too much more else I'd spoil it.
are their bokemon from red yellow and blue? what about silver and gold?
where does crystal anniversary take place?
Hi,
Sadly I am one of the people who seems to have trouble with Crystal Access on Windows 10. I've tried a bunch of things already, changing VBARecording branches, findingalternate ROMs and everything but no matter what I do, the only thing that actually works is the text of the game echoing back. None of my hotkeys work, not the t key to read the screen, the m key to read the map title etc etc.
The most annoying bit is that the pathfinder doesn't work ... that makes it quite a bit trickier to get around, especially in something like Anniversary Edition where you don't seem to start in Johto and I'm not as familiar with the Kanto maps. Has anyone figured out a way to fix this?
