Hi all,

I know, my second topic in this week in wich i ask for game recommodations, but i will be honest, i am a bit in a crisis when it comes down to wich games to play smile

Ok, that's the crisis part out of the way.

I am in search of story driven games, like sryth. In wich you are the character in a fantasy world, and you can make the choice wich quests or adventures to embark on.

I am looking for different kinds of games, hope you'll forgive me smile

Browser variants, ios, mac, they're all good, but please don't suggest any games like from the choice of games, hosted games, lifeline, timechrest or this kind. I have played most of these, and these are very good, but i quite like the style of the questing in sryth.

note: I also know of the erranorth browser game, i am just curious if there are any others of the sryth or erranorth kind.
I hope to hear from someone soon.

hi, the only game I can think of that somewhat resembles this is tau station, though it doesn't have sryth's dungeon crawl mechanics and whatnot, it still has great interactive stories to play through.

I used to be a knee like you, then I took an adventurer in the arrow.

Ah, he means the LYXL great chinese MMORPG that is story driven. Though interesting, the story is pretty linear, though.

If you want to contact me, do not use the forum PM. I respond once a year or two, when I need to write a PM myself. I apologize for the inconvenience.

There isn't anything quite like Sryth, although  Sryths story rather dicreased as it went on and the game became a blatant money sink which was why I stopped playing.

Metroplexity is worth a go since it has great story and quests, although the few adventures a day mechanic can get somewhat irritating, Twilight heroes is also a good game, though not being as much a fan of superheroes it was less my thing. Puppit nightmares is also highly worth playing since it does have a great story, although there most of the actual story comes from interacting with npcs followed by massive bouts of tactical combat and dungeoning big_smile.

Getting away from the world of browser games though, for these sorts of things I can highly suggest several gamebooks.

At the moment I'm trying out the delight games ones which are really like sryth, ongoing story, limited hp and manner, and at least in some entries like the wizard's choice ones, a fantasy setting too.

The hosted games and choice of games titles are always worth a go and great fun, in particular if your looking for a great fantasy story I suggest fatehaven from hosted games.

then of course there is the fighting fantasy project which has a hole range of gamebooks available, many such as trial of alabar's tomb with your classic fantasy feeling.

Finally, if your not afraid to roll your own dice etc you should give project aon and the chronicles of arborell a try. Project Aon is actually the series Sryth was based on, with you choosing powers at the start of each book and then having to survive. You do need to roll your own dice and write down your own stats for those, but they're definitely worth a go.

Hth.

With our dreaming and singing, Ceaseless and sorrowless we! The glory about us clinging Of the glorious futures we see,
Our souls with high music ringing; O men! It must ever be
That we dwell in our dreaming and singing, A little apart from ye. (Arthur O'Shaughnessy 1873.)

If you happen to have an android divice, lone wolf saga is a gamebook series that will take care of the dice rolling for you so you can focus on enjoying the game. Really wish the dev would port that particular app to ios. For pc try world of legend or ascension.
