Hay, nice to see the old monthly chats are still going.
I remember introducing these on the Sryth forums in something like 2005 or so, since a friend of mine who owned her own site had them on her forums and I thought they were a nice idea.
Can't remember how they migrated over here, but they've been going ever since which is awesome!
February was rather quiet over here, though there's not a lot going on really other than me trying decide whether to get into longevity world or dawncaster, while intermittently banging out more stuff for Erion, and learning random arias along the way.
Sorry to hear about the deaths Aaron, not fun to cope with. The avatar animated series is amazing! The Avatar netflicks series, ---- mmmm, not so much!
On the plus side, I'm rediscovering my love of Guy Gavriel Kay.
I really liked his fantasy series fionavar and his novel Tegana. He also writes a hole bunch of sort of alternative history.
Last light of the sun, a book based around an alternative view of vikings didn't do it for me, but I@m currently reading under heaven, which is his take on a Chinese enspired empire which is awesome!
Like last light of the sun, the magic is very minimal, but unlike last light of the sun, the plot is actually really engaging and moves forward nicely.
Still miss writing the book reviews and would like to setup a blog, or maybe at this point a podcast, since it'd be nice to do one together with my lady.
Other than that, not a lot going on unfortunately, so hope other people are having more fun.
With our dreaming and singing, Ceaseless and sorrowless we! The glory about us clinging Of the glorious futures we see,
Our souls with high music ringing; O men! It must ever be
That we dwell in our dreaming and singing, A little apart from ye. (Arthur O'Shaughnessy 1873.)
