I see no problem with @32's post. How is this in any way factoring into things. The only way that would happen is if he took punitive action against you on this forum in this thread, as it might show bias. The proper thing to do would be for him to recuse himself and let another mod handle the situation should it come to that. But it hasn't come to that, and he's not speaking as a moderator. So you're not looking good there.

Of course I handled it like an idiot - but in hindsight, and now I will give you this advice which I should have followed years ago - do not double down.
