So the auto update is cool. however, iIIIIIIII have a problem with how it does it. I click on yes to update, it downloads, unzips, and then asks if it wants to run the new updated game. I click yes, and it tells me that their are new update. I have discovered that it unzips the update in a new folder within the main baloon master folder. Shouldn't the update be extracted in the main folder where the old stuff is and so the old stuff could just be over written?? Oh and it leaves behind a zip file. I don't think nobody wants extra crap in their game folder.

I agree. Same problem with ragepillow, it's weird.

I mean modern sounds only sounds. Like the balloon could have an epic dying sound or bouncing sound
Its a retro game is it not? So their for retro sounds are in use.
I've just released Beta 9 which adds some things that you guys suggested, such as limits for busters. Now if you try to use a buster on the balloon, if it has not survived for over 30 seconds, it will not allow you to use it.
You can now also press P to know your points, however this is still being worked on. But the code is implemented and ready for use.
There are also some more fixes and improvements, but I'll let you guys read those on your own.

So as I said, the scoring system will be introduced in Beta 10, but I'd like feedback from you guys about the scoring values. Here's what I have so far.
Kill the Balloon: 1 to 10 points
Survive for one minute: 10 points
Survive for 2 minutes: 20 points
Survive for 3 minutes: 30 points
And so on...
EDIT: Or, I can make it so you receive 10 points each minute for a constant rate.
Also, blast the balloon 25 tiles, 3 points.
Let me know what you think
10 each minnit is good and easyer when codeing it
also, 25 tiles blasting should get ya 1points, since its kinda easy when you senter mr. balloon so yeah,
It would be really cool if we could mod this. I have a bunch of baloon sounds it would be fun to use.
Mods are something I've been considering for awhile now. When I re-modded the balloon sounds in beta 6, I had simply mutated, mechanized and flanged the orginals to make them actually huge, because before the balloon used to sound cute and playful. But if I give you guys the option, you could use your own balloon sounds.
Also for blasting the balloon with the ballaser, 1 point? Sounds reasonable to me, I'll start coding the scoring system. I'd also like to say that Ive added ranks to the system to make it more fun.
Here are the current ones, but more would be helpful.
0-49 points: Strider.
50-99 points: Jogger.
100-149 points: Racer.
150+ points: Sprinter.
ok, you can just put a packer and a unpacker programs in to the folder and give a way the dekription key, its your chois but that's better then editing half of the code to make it get sounds from a folder, or, just make the .dat pack with no dikription key, also your chois,
Beta 10 is finished, with a new LGS (Learn Game Sounds) menu, scoring system, new sounds thanks to Evangelos, and ranking system. Also, the overheating bug where you could still fire at the balloon if your ballaser was overheating should now be fixed, because firing now pulls from a bool.
I'll be releasing it once I get home today, however I'd like to say that points will eventually allow you to buy items from the Ballooni Market.
The Balloonia Market allows you to get items without waiting for them to come to you. Here are the possible values that items will each cost, but this could change anytime.
Life: 10 points
Buster: 25 points
Speed booster: 50 points

Beta 11 is out, and the Balloonia Market Console is introduced. However there are some bugs I need to fix with it so it may break your overall game progress. The bugs are outlined in the changelog, but if you are willing to test the BMC anyway noting the bugs that could be present, feel free. After all, this is a beta.

So wait, there's this one rogue balloon left going utterly nuts trying to get you, and yet... somehow there's a market as well? Did the world discover AI, or are some of the inhabitants managing to hide away and mounting a defense that way?
In all seriousness, I love it. I will be having another go at this at some point today. There doesn't necessarily have to the an explanation provided, unless you plan to add some more mini story bits anyway.
