One of the key differences is that this is cross-platform, it runs in chrome and electron.
Another difference is that this completely three-D, which might open up a lot of potential for even more freedom of movement.
I don't want to say too much, but I will try to implement different game modes like capture the flag, a version of capture the base (team inside, team outside, team outside tries to get in and team inside tries to defend), and a lot of things like that.
Also, as it stands, the game will be open source, so people who want to learn can look at the code, people who want to help me can pull request changes, but we're not there yet.
Also the fact that this has HRTF audio and meh. We shall see where this goes. Guilevi and I started messing with the new web API's including sound, and this is one of the results of that.
