HI all. Is there an alternative link for downloading Entombed? I was wanting to replay, but the download link in the database doesn't seem to work.

HI all. Is there an alternative link for downloading Entombed? I was wanting to replay, but the download link in the database doesn't seem to work.
Try this. I've included the SQL stuff as well. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/9v2cvvm1 … z&dl=1
Hi,
Here is the link:
http://blind-games.com/EntombedSetup.exe
Hope this helps.
This is a newer version:

I can't launch the game. I used to be able to. It's been like this for a while now, something about copyright thingy.
Copyright? I don't ever recall Entombed violating copyright. Did someone abuse the DMCA or something to claim copyright they don't actually have?
We have 3 different links here, can someone please tell me the difference between the versions? In particular the "new version"
I don't bloody know. It doesn't let me start the game at all. I think someone posted a solution somewhere but I can't find it anymore, and still can't launch the game regardless of what version.
Let me clear up a few things.
First, I recommend the same link from post 6, as it's the newest version with additional bug fixes. Here it is again.

In order for the game to run, you need Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5 Service Pack 2 installed. The installer may or may not download the file and prompt you to extract it. It does this on clean installs of Windows where the game is being installed for the first time, but may or may not depending on the condition of your system. Here's the download from Microsoft.

Download and run that file. It will prompt you to extract the files somewhere, so go ahead and do that. I use c:\sql because it's easy. Once extracted, install both MSI packages if on a 64-bit system, then try running Entombed. If that doesn't work, or you get an error about not being able to play a song, you need to install Windows Media Player from Windows Optional Features. I can confirm the game works fine on Windows 11 23H2.
The link in post 12 doesn't seem to be working at all. Speaking of which, does anyone know how you can upgrade to the full version these days? Last I heard, you had to email Jason and ask for an activation, but when I did that, I didn't get a reply. I know folks have been able to get the full version somehow, but this isn't how you do it.
@Mata
Try enabling Windows media legacy extensions from optional features.
@13, You can register the game if you remember the username and password. I forgot mind and couldn't reset the password.
The link for Entombed in post 12 works. You need to either manually copy it into the browser address bar, or choose save as from the context menu. Modern browsers don't like http only links, but the website doesn't support https.
As for registering the game, you need to either use an account that's already been activated, or contact Jason. He was supposed to fix the system so it automatically lets new accounts activate the game, but he hasn't done that for some reason. I don't understand why he's maintaining the server, but can't fix this problem.
Ok, that's unfortunate. I do have an old account, but there's no way to recover its information. I registered it back in 2011 as a young wipper snapper who didn't believe in such a time-wasting, arduous process as backups, so the name and password are gone, and I've long-since lost access to the email address I was using back then. Oh well, guess I won't be revisiting this after all, unless Jason miraculously replies to my message some time.
It's been almost a year that I have sent him to give me a free account but he didn't reply
Yeah last time I talked to him was several months. Chances are, and I'm not going to confirm or not, is he is working on something new.
My account was already activated, but then I forgot the username and the password, and couldn't recover it.
Yeah,, fortunately I still had my friend's username and the password, so I could enjoy the game if I wanted to.
Speaking of entombed, I have a mod for it lying around. I'm not sure if I can upload it here. But if someone needs it, you can contact me via pm. Or if this forum's standards consider this game as abandonware, then I just can drop the link here.
