Hi
I'm just wondering lol, Because if you go check some forum admins post count, You'll find some that have more than 10 times the true value they posted, Did they do that as a sort of I'm an aincient creature, Or is it some bugg?

Hi

I don't think they're cheaters, that wouldn't be the word I would have used, but I am curious about that as well.
PunBB allows people of a certain rank to edit their post count. I don't think any admins really did this except for Richard and Sendermen and they probably did it 20 years ago. Sendermen has reset his posts now as you can see. I remember back when I would make pointless forums that nobody ever used, I would set my posts because I thought it was cool to have 100000 posts. The things we do as kids...
Does it really matter how many posts they have? It is just a number. It doesn't mean anything.
No no no, I'm just saying it's cheating as a joke, But I was just wondering
Also, I think dark also has this, Though I might be wrong and I can't currently check.
It really doesn't make a difference, But I was just talking about it me and someone else that day and then I thought hey why not ask in some jokey way, Like I don't like asking in you're old boring way hello, Why is this is that, I must add fancy words you see.
Yeah I figured it was probably in good fun. Also, you would think that in Dark's case but back when the forum didn't error all the time, I checked this. I believe his posts are all legit, at least insofar as he didn't inflate it to a ridiculous number, I think there are several hundred or a thousand posts missing, but Dark having posted in the lions share of topics on the forum over the years has likely had many of his posts deleted by the topic creators deleting their topics (anybody remember that long night when Bladestorm deleted his entire post history?).
Pun/PanBB increments the number of posts by a user when posts are made, but doesn't decrement the value when posts are deleted. That could be another potential reason.
And now Senderman has the highest post to karma ratio lol
No don't worry folks, I knew it was in good fun as soon as I saw the description of what's happening. Don't panic. No one's in trouble. It gave me quite the laugh actually, very interesting quirk.
And now Senderman has the highest post to karma ratio lol
LOL! Admins can change the post count for their account. I think I overruled this setting when checking the users ranks when we installed them. But there is no way to set it back to the original post count! Maybe I left it at 100k? :-)
It is definitely not something I look at in my daily routine.
