Ok, hi everyone.
I have thought long and hard about posting this, and decided to.
Given silak's tk is not a clone, I believe it should be allowed here.
If it was a clone, then where is your proof?
I understand this topic could cause drama, so mods, if this gets out of hand, feel free to close the topic.
If it isn't a "clone" (ripoff), then where is your proof.
As far as I'm concerned, the burden of proof now falls upon the owners of TK servers, not the community. Every time previously it's turned out to be a ripoff, why would now be any different?
Also, as far as I know discussion on it's own wasn't banned, it was download links and download instructions. I could be wrong though, it may have gotten to that point since every topic caused so much drama without fail.
The rule exists for a good reason either way, even if you may not like it. Read some of the old topics and I think you will agree.
I asked for a tk link in 2019, not knowing what happened and was confused why people called it drama. So yeah, @1 can be at a similar position as I was.
As far as I know, Silac's tk is legal because he legally purchased it from Ivan. After all he still works on SBYW with ivan's team. You'd think they wouldn't have him there with him hosting a "a tk that wasn't legal."
If Ivan comes here and says it I think that should be good enough then.
There are various people on this forum who said they would be willing to do code audits without intent to maliciously compromise the game's security in the process. Give it to one of those.
@5, why didn't you think about doing that before you made this topic, or at least sight what meatbag did in post 6? I agree with the intent of this topic but the way you wrote the original post seems very confrontational to me. @10 I don't think an audit is required. Both X0 and Ivan have given consent to Silak to develop it. Again, he's a developer of SBYW. As evidence:

they could, but they either don't care enough about the forum and it's moderation issues to do that, or they really aren't ok with people talking about it for whatever reasons they have.
Why should Ivan and X0 have to come settle this. It was never even an issue until OP came here and did their thing. They're a little problem child off forum and seem to love spreading chaos, so I don't take them seriously.

One thing I want to clarify, because my knowledge on this topic is a bit spotty (pun intended).
Is The Killer just a fork of Red Spot, and if so, is it authorized or unauthorized?
I've never played either one, and it's been a couple of years since I paid attention to either game, particularly because of all the toxic drama they usually brought along with them. That said, if there is a valid, creator-induced version of The Killer running, and it's either using its own code or is a proven authorized fork, and if said game is not still a pit of toxicity, then we will reassess whether or not it still deserves a blanket ban.
TK has never been a ripoff of rs sourcecode, as far as I am aware. I would consider it a fork in concept, but not in code in any shape or form
What is going on with this? If it's a legally obtained version, some action should be taken to unban that specific fork.
