Hi guys,

To follow up on Dark's previous update post, we wanted to let you know about some of the major developments of the AudioGames.net website:

Recently Sander and Carter have been quite busy (pretty much each day) with setting up a new server and migrating and testing the site. Behind the scenes all kinds of things are being prepared to make the site easier to maintain, by multiple moderators.  A number of tricky bugs need to be fixed. This process is slow and takes a lot of work.

When the new website is running stable, we will switch to the new server. The latest up-to-date export of the forum will also be transferred to the new server. Before this is done, we will announce scheduled maintenance. The forum will not be accessible for a short time. With this we prepare AudioGames.net for the future!

Then some more cool news! The phenomenon of audio games, audio-only gaming as well as AudioGames.net is now featured in the March 2022 issue of Edge magazine. For those who don't know Edge, it is "the leading multi-format video game magazine, with masterfully written articles for all things video games" (their words). The 10-page feature - written by Alex Spencer - includes interviews with the makers of The Vale, The Maze and voice-controlled games platform RichCast, as well as some sound bytes of Jack and us (Richard and Sander). We're pretty amazed with this milestone of the worlds premiere game magazine featuring audio games!

If you want to read it, single digital copies are available through https://pocketmags.com/eu/edge-magazine.

More updates hopefully soon!

Best regards,

Richard

Ah, this is all exciting news! Glad to see that updates will be appearing in more regular intervals!

That's a good news.
When and for how many days would the forum go offline

Wonder if we could get permission from Alex and company to post the cut from the magazine in the articles room, as the PocketMags site has some slight accessibility issues depending on which screen reader you use - heavy on clickable elements, for starters. The article is nevertheless very well written and worth a read.

Awesome news! Great to see updates are being done to make this wonderful website future-proof.
Just one slightly unrelated thing: Could you check up on the pending name change requests? There are quite a few by now.
Also great news about the magazine coverage, great to hear!

Greetings and happy gaming, Julian
