i was who created this folder and i think it's still up, thought it's bin almost a year sence i updated the folder with new stuf, i can't post the key here though
it contained a lot of tts voice including ATT and ivona and many other old text speach voices

Something is not making sence here. It doesn't say that one cannot share stuff, say cracked stuff via pms. However, in Leom's warning, this is apparently not allowed. If this is the case, then put this in the rules as well as you yourselves are creating a loophole for people to exploit. Then again, unless someone forwards a pm with say, cracked content, there is no way for admins to know if pm contained cracks or not... I still think this should be added to the rules, however I can also see that this can be a bit of a gray area given no one except the receiver can read the pm, however ther are ways to copy said pm and send it to the admins if the recipient was so inclined.

rofl, its just funy how all are against clones, forks and what not, but when it comes to sharing in other ways people suddenly drop their goody goody sidws and want what is beeing wanted and passed around. such a hippacritical forum. Even if it is not in the rules it should be common sense not to do the bad thing. or does common sense not exist any more.

this seems a bit of a grey area. However, I do see ways of getting around it. Mainly, by email then this website.would have no hand in it PMs. I know they cannot be read, but perhaps this should be clarified in the rules what is. And what is not allowed

i agree. in the rules, it says nothing that you can't put them in pm's or forum e-mails or send a pm asking for an e-mail to share them. It specifically says that links that are not there's, they can't tell us if we can and cannot use them, or if they are or are not safe, including keys for bt sync folders. It says we cannot post them on the forum by putting a link or key of cracked software on a topic, and saying screw the rules, sense that would be breaking them. They can't read pm's unless they are forwarded, and even then they can't stop you from using those links, and they can't tell if it was a forged pm or not. This, is why i feel that the forum is going a bit more south then usual. They are trying to say that rules that aren't stated are rules and should be followed, when as i just said, in the rules section they don't exist.

Pritty much. Either it is; in the rules; or, its not. If its not... Don't make up rules just because. On another note, last I checked, that folder did have some cracked content or keygens etc, to crack tts stuff. It was a Minority of stuff, most of what its in the folder is abandoned synths / old synths which are no longer supported, however it did have some keygens to crack say, one I can remember off the top of my head, I don't remember the exact name of the voices, I just remember vw cate, among a couple others, it did have a keygen for those. I say did because I deleated said folder a long time ago, so this might be inaccurate. That folder is mainly composed of old / abandoned voices though, mainly. I believe ivonna was in that folder too but could be wrong. So it is partially cracked content, yes. Not all of it however. Just my two cents. I do, however, find it funny how people who are the first to scream and point the fingers at, cloners, suddenly shift there toan and... I want x or y. I'm not passing judgment, but i'm the type of person who really; really; hates double-standards. I'm not gunna lie, I was at a time like before like this, however I'm trying to change and shift away from this type of behavior.

And I don't understand so called double standards, with abandonware voices. Since you literally don't have a way of purchasing them even if you wanted to. Moreover, not everyone has a money tree to plunk down vast gobbets of cash on anything and everything iether.

yeah, thats my issue. its text to speech voices that are abandoned yet some of them you still would have to pay for. i do remember the folder, was in it at soem point but that was a year ago on a completely different hardrive, my fault for not writing it down but i figured i'd never need it again. However, yes, there were craks for tts voices in it, as well as older version of voices like real speak solo direct voices for SAPI 5, but a lot of it is things you could get from other places as well, it was just a compilation of everything you could need. Although, i do have a question. A crack is getting something for free that should be paid, right? speakonia is abandoned by CFS-Technologies, the people that created it. You used to have to pay to get it registered. There is a widely known key, probably used for testing purposes durring the development. I'm not sure if they company put it out, or if someone found it and it spread like wildfire, but does that mean that anyone who uses speakonia now is a cracker? a cheater? whatever you think they are? Someone who thinks fucking money for abandoned devs is funny or wrong? Personally i don't sense the cracks are for old abandoned synths anyway, so bla bla bla.

No. The devs of speakonia gave the key out themselves. However as far as abandoned stuff goes, if its abandoned, why the heck have the payment still up? Its stupid. i mean the chances of someone buying are pritty low if not none at all... Keynotegold beeing a clear example. Its abandoned, and yet I believe its humanware? Still cling to the keys and software like flies on shit. Whats the point really? Its used in the apex sure, but in the newer braillenote moddles there is no more keynotegold, so whats the point of clinging onto it? Its served its purpose, may as well give it out for free for the public. I really dislike this, o, even if its abandoned, i'll still hold onto it, approach. Its just ridiculous!
