I want to create a ranger in Castaways. My weaver has been making cloth but I don't have a tailor to make a ranger cloak. When I cycle through the jobs I can assign, there is no tailor. I have built every building except guard tower and they all are open. What's wrong?
Buddy, this is your third castaways topic in the last two days. I understand the game has quirks and that your noticing more of them as you progress, but it would really be best to keep this to a single topic and maybe change the name to something like "need help with a few issues in castaways".

I think tailors might be restricted to certain missions. I seem to remember not being able to train rangers in mission 1, and I want to think that pikemen and cavalry aren't available in mission 2.
i'm disappointed that sandbox mission is so meh. I wanted animal farm, monastery and tannery there but ther's only those starter buildings.
Btw, does someone know missions where enemies won't attack you and you have to attack them instead? lol.
I don't seem to be able to make knights either in mission 1. I can assign a blacksmith to make armor and put it in the barracks, but the soldiers don't train. They just run off and fight as soldiers.
At 6 you should switch off the territory flag to make soldiers stay at the barracks first and then tend to upgrade them. The most challenging missions were the one with the Yeti settlement raiding and the final Epilogue where you had to produce 15 metal bars each 500 ticks for the taxes.
Not sure what you mean by "at 6". Mission 6?? But it was a good idea to try T. I'm on mission 1. I tried it and no go. The soldiers just idle in the barracks and ignore the armor. I guess they are playing cards and smoking cigarettes.
Actually, i was able to uprgade soldiers to knights anytime, not sure what yall are talking about.
Just press shift + U on any soldier and select train as knight or something like that.
