Tomorrow is the day, 1 pm eastern!
Hi.
So, I downloaded the trial and am now happily playing away, things i can already Say.
Yes, the most important menus seam to speak, although the voice is quite irritating and might be understandable for some of you.
For starters, check in the options menu if the coach mode is enabled. If not, turn it on, it will show you the best play the game thinks you can do.
You can now turn off commentary or switch the audio mix to on field because if you listen closely, the stadium speaker gives you all the details you need without the sometimes useless banter by the broadcast stuff, stadium speaker might say something like this.
Lions, Staffort pass to Riddic, complete for 16, lions second down on raiders 36 yard line, and this comes after any play you make.
Switching the music again is in messenger, hit rb twice, the tracks menu together with the songs is already announced by the narration, select and deselect the tracks you want to see.
I will record a small demo in a few hours to show off what's actually new and what changed.
It would be good if we could get a text manual with the controls so we could also pull off advanced maneuvers easily.
Greetings Moritz.
Not sure if I have access to it yet, but Maybe when I get back from the bar I'll stream it if we get it at midnight
I am proud to be one of the first members to salute and starts a standing ovation to the EA accessibility team.
I'm still in shock how much of the game is accessible especially when it came to ultimate team I'm going to quit whatever I'm doing and just get lost in it.
the only thing that was an accessible that I hope will be implemented in the future franchise additions or in a update would be making the auction house accessible
I can't wait to actually be able to talk about this. Played the beta in June. That's all I'm saying XD
Do anyone know if face of the franchise is accessible? I didn't get a chance to try the beta.
I am hoping that this mode is accessible because I would love to be able to play some college football.
Hi.
We seam to have a little problem with the beta.
If I understand this right from the manual of madden 19, the play call option has three modes.
Quick, which shows just one play.
Enhanced which shows three plays to choose from.
Slim, something like enhanced, but with some visual stuff I suppose, at leased it says something along these lines in the manual.
Problem is, in madden 20 we just have enhanced and slim, the quick option is missing. So as far as I understand and see it, we don't know which plays are available and which ones we should choose.
Greetings Moritz.
Correct. There is slim and advanced, but no quick.
Also face of the franchise is not accessible. Unfortunately.
That being said though. it's still an awesome game. The fact I can pllay Franchise independently simply rocks.
I just finished the stream, so I'm waiting for Youtube to process it and then send me fifty copyright monitization claims, then if they haven't completely blocked it world wide, I will post a link.
Liam, but how are we supposed to play the game if there is no quick option available and we don't know what the three plays which are on the screen are? As long as they don't add that in, I don't see how we can best play the game.
We should alert Caren to that issue.
greetings Moritz.
I suspect the feature was removed since people probably didn't use it or it was deamed not to be popular. If you OCR youc an usually see the plays. toggle the play clock off to give yourself some extra time.
Hi.
Hmm darn, certainly not the best option, but I guess currently unavoidable, let's just hope the guys over at EA can do something about that.
Greetings Moritz
Or just go with the default play it gives you
I think people need to realise beggars can't be choosers most of the game is accessible what more can you ask for.
it's a bad habit that has grown in society that people focus on the negative parts of things instead of all the positive around them
Todays' archive. https://youtu.be/cmiMqUla2XM
Hi.
@Bradp, well, it gives you three default plays, and when you accidentally run the ball and not pass, yeah, not that good.
@Sirpdex, so I am not allowed to critisize a feature that is missing which made the game quite easy to pick up?
And no, I just focus on the negative things right? It wasn't me who recorded a fucking demo this morning to highlight what cool accessibility improvements have been made, no, that totally wasn't me right.
And Liam is then allowed to whine about the fact that the face of the franchise mode isn't accessible, yeah, right.
Greetings Moritz.
What I could figure out though is that a mostly does run plays and x and y mostly do passes, this is not consistent though.
Sometimes when you hit x it also seams to spike the ball, at leased it sounds like it when you do that, still have to investigate abit more.
The OCR does not really work on PC though have to find a workaround for that one.
Greetings Moritz.
I'd recommend just learning how to get to play type and choosing your plays that way, but that's just me. Also... everyone calm down lolz.
If more people socialised played and communicated, they could figure out the PlayBook a lot quicker as we did en19.
As so far most of the PlayBook layouts is the same as it was on 19. as when you first start you will be on coach suggestions,
So when you are in offence if you go down three times you will be on play type so if you press a the first menu is quick play if you go right it will be on run plays.
and also in defence you will start off in coach suggestions if you go down once you will be on formations.
once the game is fully released I know the Xbox that's will have it mostly figured out and will share it it between ourselves and whoever would like to know as we are limited to what we can do on the 10 hour trial
Hi.
@Death, yeah, good idea regarding the calming down part, possibly got abit carried away there.
Regarding the play calling, do you refer to the play books? Problem I see there is that they will be dynamic this year, I am not sure though if you are able to chec the current ones in the game somewhere.
Or do you mean something different with the play calling and I'm misunderstanding you there totally?
Greetings Moritz.
Hi.
@Sirpdex, problem is, that unlike in madden 19 this years playbooks will be updated every week for every team, so, depending how big the changes are, this could be a quite difficult task and if you for example need almost a week to fully get down the new playbooks the new ones are already around the corner.
Greetings Moritz.
Nah, I mean stuff like play type, so press B a few times, down 3 A to get to play type. That gets you to a menu that I'm pasting from the accessibility guide. · Pass menu options: quick pass, standard pass, shotgun pass, play action pass, screen pass, Hail Mary
Go right to run and you get this menu · Run menu options: inside handoff, outside handoff, pitch, counter, draw, fb run
Left from passes or right again is special team options. · Special menu options: special teams, clock management, QB run. Keep in mind the plays may change, playtype does not. I hope that helps.
Yeah. I've already read that playbooks will be regularly updated, so mapping them out doesn't make sense.
Hi.
Ah thanks, that one you mean, let's hope it's the same procedure with madden 20. I suppose when you for example click shotgun pass you get a submenu with a bunch more passes, will se what I can figure out there.
Greetings Moritz.
So having spoken to more content creators, aka people who already got the game and are pretty okay at the game, I'm still on the fence.
I don't care about how accessible Madden is* Note the * by that statement.
I care about having a working, fun, stable game I can't cheese the CPU on or exploit trades to break the game. I care more about does the game feel good to play, does it actually simulate the NFL? From what I've seen from content creators, I'm on the fence about getting it, because I've seen good and bad things. I'm disappointed by QB1, the new career mode going by discussions with content creators, and watching videos, Franchise mode however seems decent, but I've taken notes from the gameplay. For all the hype EA's gotten, IF they don't fuck it up with tuning updates, it could be a good year to play Madden. It could. Or they could give in to the whiners and totally and utterly balls up the gameplay just as easily.
* I care about an accessible game /after/ the actual game's done well. I don't want EA to release FIFA with a broken set of mechanics then slap talking menus on because everyone here will cream their pants without looking at the big picture. This is a game you'll be playing for a long, long time people
