Hello all.
I can't install windows 7 sp1 KB 976932 x64 on my pc. I get error windows 7 sp1 installation was unsuccessful when the installation progress is at 82%. My os is Windows 7 Professional 64bit.

brother hey how do u installing it we a windows update or manually dont do it manually just go to controll panel windows update and settings and i always install it with windows updatedo one thing let windows give u auto updates then it wil give u service pac update also

the reason it fails is because you need to first install 9 spisiffic updates in sequence. because windows update is broken on windows7 it installs a small update that brakes things. on some systems.
There's a place for me in this universe.

If I tryed to install the sp1 from windows update, the download progress is stil at 0%, even I wate until 30 minits. I don't know what's rong with my windows update.

Try using wsus offline update:
download from
http://download.wsusoffline.net/wsusoffline1162.zip
select your operating system and download the proper updates, after that's done go inside the client folder and run update installer.exe (or something similar). Should upgrade your windows 7 install without issues. Afterwards, go to windows update to install any missing updates. Out of curiocity, is this a new windows 7 install or have you managed to somehow defer the service pack for this long? if the former, you can get much newer windows 7 isos with updates integrated into them from microsoft somewhere (google it), I don't remember

Now I have sp1 install on my pc thanks to windows update.
