Hi all,

So maybe one of you who has more knowledge here can help me. I tried installing Blank Block for fun, and both times I tried, I got an error about something called msinet.ocx. The game said that that file or one of its dependencies was not installed correctly. The game will run the config.exe file just fine (though it doesn't properly label the edit boxes with Jaws 2018) but that's it.
I'm running on Windows 10. Does this mean the game is simply too old to play? Or is there a quick fix?

Thanks in advance.

You should download one of Aprone's games and unzip it and run checkup.exe.
This will register the missing file, which I assume to be the problem.

You can get my Tactical Battle scripts here, with a documentation included. They allow various things that are not normally possible in the game.

Alternatively, if you just want dependencies without downloading a game along with them, this SourceForge project may also help, it's an installer that installs many dependencies for everything written from Visual Basic 1 to 6, and I believe MSINET.OCX is one of them. If that doesn't work, Damien Garwood's DirectX 8 Visual Basic rapper is another option. You could probably install both if you wanted to be sure.

Sadly, neither of those things worked. I'm not at all sure what's going on at this point.

You should be able to do the following. This should work on windows 7, but well
Hunt down msinit.ocx, download it probably, or better take it from the game directory if it's there.
Then copy it to C:\windows\system32 I think, though I don't use windows 10 so it's probably different.
Then open command prompt, and type:
regsvr32 msinit.ocx
If a success dialog opens, try to run the game again.
This is the only thing I can think of to help.
