Hi all.
So i am trying to install ubuntu on a computer. and during the installation orca always stops talking on something about libre office at least that's what seeing AI says. Its talking about libre office and installing as super user. Anyone know what to do? alt+super+s doesn't work.
if this is when you've done all the main setup and just let it do its thing, just wait for the dam thing to install everything and then restart the computer when seeing AI says that that has come up. if it's more of an error than what it's actually doing, then something has gone quite wrong and i don't know what the hell you should do
Its just been saying installing grub 2 package, then libre office for about an hour or two. I'll keep waiting though
no it doesn't take that long its fucked.
Ok so i installed it fine on my other computer. Now another issue, it says notification there are wifi connections available and to connect with system menu. but i check system menu and its not there. and from what i can online in need to go to notification panel which i can't find how to do either. How can i do this?
press the windows key and type in settings. then search for wi-fi and it should come up, then connect to your network and hopefully, say bye bye to that notification
FYI,
The "Windows" in ther "Linux" world, is refered to as the "super" key.
NB. You can get stickers that say "super" key to cover the "Windows" logo one.
I'd probably leave it windows just to piss off the geeks lol. I swear they get so snobby, you have to say guh-nome, not gnome, maté rather than mate, Guh-new rather than G, N, U... Lol.
