yeah, I agree. And I realy like that you orientate in parts on shadows of mordor, since this game impressed me partly as well. I think I refered to it in one of my first suggestions. I think it was the one were I suggested consequences on what you are doing and Charakters remembering what you or your army had done to them before later in the game. Also the dynamic Change of ranks and the Evolution of Charakters I had from shadows of mordor. Since it is a similar Setting, there will fit lots of things from there.

@Dark, I love that, forgot the encounter existed but the general vs challenger sounds badass.

As for being stuck, you'll probably find exploring the realm further to be of assistance, conquer/capture all the locations and hire all the recruits you can and you should be good to go.

haha, skeleton Buddhists would be cool with it, they don't need material possessions like... skin... or organs.

@Niklas, I loved the shadow of mordor system but was disapointed with the infinite nature of it, I have some plans for a full implementation of it with the minor goblin clans... but this will not be anytime soon if it does happen smile

something nice would be torches. For example, if someone let's say a Knight or so is on a quest and Comes into a dark place like a cave, he could sometimes find and use torches wich can help so he hadn't to wander in complete darkness. This could happen sometimes, not every time ofcourse.

Oh, and another Thing wich would be cool probably: Would be nice if you could send adventurer Groups onto jurneys, quests and the like as well. For such things in General, it would be cool to watch the Charakters while they do the quests and if you don't want to let them do everything themself, you could have the Option to give certain commands and make decisions to influent the quests as well. But if you wish, they take it on themself completely as well.

@Niklas, It's definitely in the plans for adventurers to be sent on quests, the idea is you would summon them to your court using your diplomat, no guarentee they will show up though

When they do you can do all sorts,

Ask them to enlist in your army and disband the group
Ask them to disband the group
Pay them to disband the group
Arrest them
Ask them to go and find an ancient artifact for you (pay them)(or take some of them hostage and have the artifact as a ransom)
Ask them to go and find out information about the demons (pay them)
Ask them to help you fight the Bandit Horde
Ask them to help you fight the rebels
Ask them to help you fight the goblin clans
Ask them to help you takeover a fort/black market ect

Stuff like that

That's cool. BTW: on my second game I wanted to explore the black market further in the near North, but it was only a ruin. Sad, because in my first game I started exploring it but but explored it not entirely. Are there more than one black market in the game, so I can get the Chance again or do I have to start over? And if an update Comes out, how can I Play further in my saved game if possible in the new Version? Ah and some Locations in the black market were closed, do they open later in the game?

@Niklas, sounds like the leader of the blackmarket what a pyromaniac and burned it down, the blackmarket is a single location so there are no other blackmarkets you can go to if one is gone.

If you want to see the blackmarket you will need to play in a game which has a blackmarket, be that a new game or an older save.

As for new updates coming out the save updating system will work fine, it has worked the same way for a long time, you load up and old save and it picks up how many missing things there are from the old outdated save file and adds them in for you.

When you say some locations were closed you might have to explain further, there is only one closed location that I know of and that's the book shop, it opens if you build a royal library so you can buy books from him to read, other than that I don't know other closed buildings.

and like I said before, in some Areas, especially bigger ones like the black market or the baja area, wich sounds even bigger, it would be nice if some taverns are there wich offer rooms for the night to rest. That could be a place for saving the game within the area you explore, so you haven't to go back all the way each time. Instead, you could explore further if you load the game and wake up in the taverns room there.

@Niklas, that's right, drop your old saves into the new save folder and you'll be fine, it's not a bad idea but due to system limitation I wouldn't be able to implement it, great idea though

Well, I can't add buttons everywhere for you to save, but the game autosaves each time you end your turn.

Ah, that's good to know and fully okay. I wasn't sure if the game saves automatically after each turn, so that is cool.

I don't know if that is possible, but screen readers can recognize if text is in a different language and switch the speech to this language automatically. Is this possible to implement into warsim as well, so that the screen reader recognizes that the text is written in english and switches into the english speech? Or isn't that possible due to the nature of the game being played in a console window? Unfortunately, I don't know what has to be done in order to make this recognizable for screen readers.

hello, I just bought the comercial version of this game through steam but I don't know how to start quests. I read about them
in the changelogs but don't know how to start any of them.

from what I know, the quests appear randomly and for now just as throne room encounters, so you'll catch them eventually. But the quest system will be expanded from what I heared.

Hi again, having seen the comment about difficoulties on redit, like I said before, I'd like to see Options, such as an infinit mode and something like a Story mode for example with a winning Screen after completing the game fully for example. Another Option could be a life cycle of a king and such.

@Niklas, all that would have to happen on the end of the reader as the console the game is run through wont be able to interact with it.

@Connor142, thanks for the support, quests come due to your knights mostly when you have established a knightly order, they are currently purely in the throne room as Niklas mentioned.

@Niklas, couldn't agree more, I think some people want a complete screen and others want infinite play, I personally like the infinite play idea, but I was thinking of doing it multiple ways, either you get a screen when the demons are defeated and can continue from there if you choose, or alternatively, you have an option to retire at any time and based on the state of the world and aslona will get a specialized text based on what happened when you retired

Yeah, I agree. I think to have multiple Options or ways to choose how you would want it fits perfectly into the rest of the concept. And if you don't want to choose within the game itself, you could even customize it before starting a game if you wish. The Advantage is that there would be something for each Play style and the likings of each Player. That would be the best, so anyone can choose how he/she wants it to turn out.

Whichever state is chosen for the game, it might be nice to have a  record of past games to look back on as part of the  current game, this is actually something I liked  idea of in the wastes, but would be awesome for Warsim too, though manifestly it'd probably need the player to insert a ruler's name or a dynasty name for it to work.

Just another idea: If a unit or group is performing certain quests, there could be trees, flowers and plants wich could be helpfull or some even dangerous. Some could be magical and could harm units in different ways. And if not already implemented, different kinds of orcs would be cool, some primitive and weak, others could be more evolved and stronger, a bit like the orcs and urucs in lord of the rings for example. From shadows of mordor came the idea for transport units I posted a while ago.  Some units could use beasts for example to fly or ride on. Even this beasts could assist in battles with teths and claws for example, like the caragors in shadows of mordor. I know this was an RPG but even some features could be used by certain units of yours, for example.
