I sadly report that the links that you have given for game "Chicken Killer" are no longer working. sad
I hope that you can suggest another web-site or link that I can download the game, or the game should be included to the 'discontinued games' list.

Hi ddd, are you saying that your going to be perminantly hosting the game through dropbox?

If so that's fine and I'll update the db, but there's no point me doing that if you plan to take the link down, otherwise perhaps bladestorm, Tom ward or any of the other kind people who regularly host older games could considder hosting it.

btw, you don't seem to have posted the dropbox link correctly, you are missing the slash and the colon I believe.

What a nice surprise, man! Thank you very much for making the game available for everyone. While the game is simple and straightforward in nature, it intrigued me just because I like games which they are dominated by shooting action. Thanks, again, for sharing the game.

If you look at the link, you'll see that it's fake.

First of all, where's the ": / /" after http, where's the .com/u/, the user ID is way too long, and the file name is missing. So, the link is invalid, I didn't even have to click it. big_smile

And if it works regardless, then wow.

Indeed Dddd, if you could please post the correct link I'd be glad to update the db.

Btw you don't have to actually type the address of a link you know? just copy it with ctrl c then paste with ctrl v.

Appologies if you did this, I just wondered if perhaps that was the reason the first link you tried to post didn't quite come out correctly.

If you can however post an updated one that would be great, sinse it's always good when people can host old audiogames that aren't around anymore.

Hi Ddd.

That link isn't working as arc said. most links will start with http colon, slash slash then often www and then the address, not just http. But even when I put these characters into your link text and tried to open it it didn't work.

You can tell if it's working easily sinse if it's working you should be able to tab onto it and press enter to activate just as links posted on most boards do, for instance here's a link to audiogames.net: http://audiogames.net/

If the link is from jhack however, then I'm also concerned how long it'll be up, sinse obviously if it isn't your dropbox account and your not the one hosting the link, you can't say whether it will be up or not, and as I said, I don't want to put links in the db that stop working after a short time sinse whoever hosts them gives up.

Hi,

The way this works is the forum checks for the characters. If something begins with http:// the forum software assumes this is a valid link, so it can be clicked.

Also, usually a DropBox user ID has 7 numbers. Mine, for example is 1617788. This means, any Dropbox URL starting with dl.dropbox.com/u/1617788 is mine.

DDDD, it looks like you're not pasting the link. If you got it from Jack, and this is exactly what he gave you, then try asking him again. The computer can't guess, so even if you spelled "goggle", it won't notice you meant to put "Google". Software could, but with direct links like those from Dropbox, it's not going to work.

Also as I said, whether the file is perminantly hosted or not is not really your business, it's jacks, and we'd need to here from him before altering the db.

The first one ends with 4 and the second ends with 5... Hmm...

Thanks, man. I hope that more and more obsolete games would be hosted, so newer audiogamers would be able to track the timeline of the audiogames history. By the way, why not create an essay that could explain the history of audiogames? I mean a text like an encyclopaedia entry.

so please fix the database. Thanks DDD for trying, but maybe if you would've tried copying the URL that I posted and then pasting it into your post rather than trying to memorize it or do something else, it would've worked.
