Topic title says it all. The haters are just salty they're not nearly as talented or successful as she is. Even if her music is objectively shit, (It isn't BTW) the large following and media influence she cultivated is impressive. Especially considering a lot of the people criticising them can barely establish a proper friend group of their own.

You know what? I actually agree with this.
Like her or not, you can't deny her influence and how talented she is in being able to release so much music and stay relevant.
I personally don't like most of her music, and her super fans are really annoying. But there are usually some good messages in her songs.
BTW, I actually like that Shake It Off song. Funnily, my wife is a fan of her music, but she does not like that particular song.

I like her country stuff a lot. I don't like her pop songs but that's just because I'm not a fan of pop songs in general. I wouldn't say she's the most talented  though, there are lots of musicians and singers that are more talented than her. Beyonce, Luke combs, steeve terreberry, jared dines, just to name a few. But she's far more popular than all of those people, I'll give her that.

Some of her stuff is good some isn't my style.
But she does make her own stuff in fact one of her albums has a few tracks of raw stuff and how she does it so tthats quite cool.

Honestly, I'm not sure I've knowingly heard a Taylor Swift song or if I have, I didn't know it was her. That said, I do like quite a bit of pop and country, so it's possible I'd like some of her music.

That said, I don't get Hatedoms in general. I can understand not liking something or being annoyed when fans won't shut up about something you hate and infuriated when they go out of their way to torment you with something you don't like, but going out of one's way to express hatred towards something even when no one else is talking about it just seems like a form of self-inflicted torment.

Also, super fans are kind of annoying in general. Heck, even within fandoms I'm part of, there are people I find annoying.

People only really hate her because she's dating Kelsey. No one would say shit if she was dating a normal person and not an NFL player. But then again, what celebrity would date a random person?  People like that tend to stay in their circles.

I preferred her older music where she was mainly into country, but since reputation came out... Her music has been just, meh whatever, imo. Although she does release one good song now and then which seems to go with her older country vibe every now and then, but since reputation... Not my thing really.

@23: IN all fairness, don't conservatives throw a hissy fit over any celebrity that mentions anything seen as liberal... and don't Liberals throw a hissy fit over any celebrity expressing a conservative view?
