If I wanted to make a backup of my saved games, do I have to just copy and paste? I know, or at least I think I know which file has my saved data. It is the data.dat file in the vgstorm folder which is located in the appData folder. Can I just copy the data.dat file to another folder or drive, rename it, and then when I need to reload it into the game, just rename it back to data.dat? Another question, can I load the same data file into another manamon game that has no saved data? There are a couple of manamon that can only transform if they are traded. I have no one I know who can trade with me, so I figured I could just trade with myself over my internal network.

of course you can do exactly that

Trading with yourself can be done in Manamon 2 provided you have two licenses. I don't know of any other way to do it. You can even do that on the same computer. You'd just need a second account. Then you'd put in the second license key on that second account. Then you'd switch between them with an instance of manamon 2 running on each one and do your trading. that's how I do it.

Are you saying that I may not be able to trade with myself in Manamon 1? I have two computers that are hooked up to a wifi network. I don't see why I couldn't trade with myself on my network. Right now, I am making youtube videos of Manamon 1. I would like to eventually exchange apperitians with myself and show anyone watching my videos how to do it. BTW, my youtube channel is GilberttheMeow1 if your interested in watching and or listening to my videos.

Oh in manamon 1 you don't even need two computers, or two licenses either, for that matter. In fact, there's a guide on how to do this with just one computer. https://forum.audiogames.net/topic/2145 … ing-guide/

2021-03-07 21:56:32

I think I'd rather get a second licence. Is it possible to do this with one computer but in a second local account? Also, my computer is on a local wifi ip address. If I were to use a second account, wouldn't that account still be on the same ip address. Manamon's trading feature is on a peer to peer service, so I think I would need separate ip addresses to trade wouldn't I?

BTW, there is a way in Manamon to make grinding a little less monotonous. First, turn off sound affects. Then, adjust sapi to it's maximum talking speed. The faster the sapi, the faster the game. To. bad there isn't a way to shut off sapi completely, Then we could really cut loose when grinding manamon.

The grinding solution I posted above is only a temporary solution. If you grind in a specific area for too long, the experience given will start to drop dramatically in Manamon 1. In Manamon 2, the experience given will drop, but not as fast as in Manamon 1.

It's been a while since I used Manamon 1's trading, but I think you'd just connect to localhost for the trades. I used that guide that I linked to in an earlier message to do it and didn't bother with a second license. In Manamon 2 that's not possible, so I bought a second license and ran it on a second account on the same computer. So I just run an instance of Manamon 2 on each account, start a room with one, join that room with the other, and switch back and forth between them to do my trades.

Want to grind faster?
1. Switch to NVDA. Not kidding here; this vastly speeds up gameplay.
2. Turn off attack sound effects.
3. Profit.

A clarification though: experience doesn't flatten the longer you stay in an area. Experience flattens based on what level you are, vs. the level of the opponent. so if for some reason you were able to fight 50 manamon in one area without gaining too many levels, the experience curve wouldn't start to flatten till you started gaining more levels. So in other words, let's say the Fyrates you're killing are giving you 1300 exp per. Now let's say you artificially inflated your exp to level to 200000. Before levelling, you wouldn't magically see Fyrates starting to give you 900 experience all of a sudden; that might only happen once you gain a level or two.

Well you have to have NVDA installed, of course. But it's in options. It'll say "switch to screenreader: not recommended". The only reason it says "not recommended" is because Aaron doesn't want you to skip certain things. Playing with a screenreader means you will have to hit Enter more often, but you will very quickly get used to it.

The screenreader mode has one more benefit.
If you use NVDA, instal the speech history addon for it and you'll be able to copy the entire story of the game, including the things that can't be copied using the z key.

Btw, I recently finished doing a manapedia text file.
Let me know if you're interested to see it.

I turned on the guest account feature on Windows and I registered manamon on that account. I tried out the online trading feature of manamon, and it works. I didn't actually trade anything, I just tested out the trading prompts. I asked me on both Manamon games if I wanted to trade something from my transportal or party. It then asked me if I wanted to accept the Manamon I was trading or overview. As soon as I transform a spirost, and I get to brightwater city and the manamon breeder, I am going to trade for all three starter manamon, and mortrex.

If anyone has checked out my Manamon videos on youtube, you may have noticed that I haven't continued the game. I tried to record part 19, however, for what ever reason, it would not record. I didn't notice that it didn't record until I checked the folder where all the recordings are. When recording a manamon video, I like to save the game from time to time. Needless to say, when I discovered that the last video hadn't recorded, I had to start Manamon all over again from scratch. During my attempted recording of part 19, I had saved the game a couple of times. There was no way I could do part 19 after that. It might be a while before I get back to where I left off. BTW, my youtube channel is GilberttheMeow1.

I think yes

2021-07-06 03:49:02

BTW, From level 1 to level 100, manamon are suppose to earn a total of 500 training points. If you have leveled up your manamon all the way to level 100 and you still haven't earned all 500 training points by the time you get your manamon to level 100, your manamon can still earn points even though it won't gain anymore levels. If you grind your level 100 manamon in the master stadium, every two manamon or so you beat, will earn your manamon 1 point.

Hi, I've got a question. I think I've read somewhere that you can somehow import your manamon1 manapedia to manamon2. Is it true and if so, how?
Thanks

It's in the brytanburg east. But you can only use the feature once you've beaten the game.
