Edit: Wrong room, Admins/mods feel free to move this to the correct one.
the name says it all, What do you think that fps audiogames missed, At least those who you people were asking to not be created again, For example, What stile of fighting did you want, What aiming stile? What vehicle stile/etc? What upgrades did you want to see? Etc?

I want rtr style fps without the new mg4 type of weapon. That made the game a bit frustrating for people who can't jump around a lot to avoid. And servers that, if they have small player bases, put on small maps instead of maps for like 30 people.

An aiming system that you can aim guns in extreamly small angles to extreamly large ones.

Their is no such thing as a master.  One is never done learning, and those who claim to be a master at something are far from becoming one!!

I think one of the biggest things that draws me to a game like RTR as opposed to the other FPS's is how fast and easy it is to get going. You just log onto a server and you are ready to go in no time. The newer fps's that try and focus on long term setup already struggle with lots of balancing issues. When you combine that with the idea of having a persistent inventory, things get hard to keep balanced really fast. Then you end up with situations where new players are trying to fight accounts that have been building up an inventory for months, and no one is having fun. (That's not even to mention how 95% of the weapons are never used, because they have no advantage over the sniper rifle or whatever that does 50000 damage and one shots everyone) There's nothing wrong with keeping it simple. Simple works. (Hence why I still choose RTR)

Trying to free my mind before the end of the world.

Personally, I think they were missing unlockables, missions and the like. Also too much drama and too little balance.

The most story you ever get is Shades of Doom level "there are evil monsters".  The most RPG mechanics you ever get is Swamp, which really doesn't change the mechanics as you level.  The most puzzles you get are absolutely none.  When asking this question, as someone who used to have vision for sighted games, the answer is "everything but the shooting part".
