Hi. I'm trying to livestream my reaper audio in OBS with Rea stream. I did some research and tried the following:
Loaded an instance of Rea stream on my master track in reaper, left the identifier text field to default, set the plugin to Send audio/MIDI, and last but not least, set it to local broadcast.
Then I created an audio source in OBS, and added a Rea stream vst2 filter on it. But it still doesn't seem to be working.
Some web articles say that I need to make sure the identifier fields are the same both in reaper and OBS, but I can't find a way to check the OBS side. Apparently you have to click on Open Plug-in Interface in the filters window but that does nothing.
I also checked the output box of the audio source and I tried different devices, but no luck.
Does anyone know how this stuff works or any better way of doing this?
Thanks in advance, any help would be greatly appreciated.

use vac, output to a cable, input from same line on OBS and you're good to go. Can do all the things that way like voice on next track.

That works as well, but my reaper is  set to ASIO because I'm using an audio interface. Is there a way to make it work or should I just set it to WASAPI and ignore the delay.

ASIO won't eliminate the delay for the user, only for you if its going over a cable. IDK how ReaStream works.

@Veljko I've got the lag very low on Wasapi, my block size is set to like 50. I can't notice any lag, but then again, I've never been able to use Asio, and I don't have an audio interface.

If you for whatever reason wish to contact me, the best way to do so is through Discord (@Minionslayer0). You'll get the quickest response times, and by extension, a higher priority. I also sometimes post my thoughts (for the better or worse) over on Mastodon at @Minionslayer.

Okay. I'll go with that. Thanks for the help.

While I'm here, I'm trying to usue the ASIO4All driver, but when in use, all sound from my default device stops playing, as if it had been routed somewhere else. I set it up in Reaper, what's going on?

Don't use that, it's old, deprecated trash. The reason you're having the problem is that ASIO requires exclusive control of the device and gets it rather aggressively. There's nothing you can do about it except route speech to another device not controlled by that driver.

ASIO in harsware, sure, but not that asio for all thing, it sucks.

How do I use this program? I tried to use asio4 with the reaper, but whenever I record, NVDA comes out on my speakers. I would like all the audio to come out on my headset.

@Diego, As @GrannyCheeseWheel stated, it's old and no longer maintained. Do not use it. You can't fix that issue.
