Not only that, but they were confusing the hell out of the support cycles. This was for Windows 7. Do you honestly think that MS is going to suddenly kill of an OS owing to how long of a support cycle Windows 7 and XP had? BEsides, the article says support ends in 2020. It is 2020 as we speak. That should be all you need to know to prove this post is dated.
@rings2006
You should change the topic title, since you can't delete it... You are going to scare people needlessly with this bad info.
Honestly anybody whose scared by this topic title deserves the fear rofl. Thanks for the 10 seconds of amusement.
i will look for a lgeit artical for this. i thot it was actualy real. i will change it to might be discontinued.
i mean the 5 year persinal 10 year bisness thing could make it real. but that would be stupid to do and i dont think they would do it. if they do? fuck microsoft. just saying
as good as misinformation gets.
yep not wrong at all. it wont be suported for all of time though
@rings2006
Really? it won't be? Oh my god!
I think I'll need to call and get my stock portfolio readjusted right now then!
Dammit, my broker told me he was confident that investing in Windows 10 FTL Edition, for 1.001 to 1.1XLightspeed Capable Navigation Computers was going to pay off bigtime in the second quarter of 2247.. when the update adding support for spacecraft over 80000 tons mass came out in May!
He predicted that it would be a huge shake up for the extrasolar shipping market segment...
i know it wont. just saying that 5 years is up. windows will never end. ever. hopefully. this topic is useless now though. idk why i baleved it. mods. close this pleas
Lol. @rings2006 so engulfed in shame that he completely misses post 13's joke. Priceless!
well. it will die eventualy. its not dead now. but maybe in 2 years. idk. i am not imbarused. just kinda annoyed i fell for that.
Maybe some people should make just a bit of research before creating topics with false information.
When it was just said that there would be at least a 5 year mainstream support cycle. Not to mention the fact that Windows 10 is being updated as a service anyway, so there's a slim chance of there even being a new major Windows version. Except Windows XP: 30th Anniversary special Community Edition, or something.
exactly. and i did reserch. but this topic isnt needed. users should be able to close their topics. can they
nope dude, it's not going to happen. And let's say it will, what did ms prepair for us to use, something supposidly newer and better than win10, like happened with win7? well, so as no super mega sky computing is going to come in the mind of ms over night, with a revived windows vista, plus some bits of XP to complete the fray, it's not going to happen, so fake news, plane as day.
i am very aware that it iwll not. that is why i want this topic closed.
Windows 10 itself is not likely going away any time soon.
However, Microsoft does stop supporting versions of Windows 10 that are older than 18 months. This article explains the Microsoft support cycle for Windows and includes a link to the official document.
