Symbian phones are dead and the screen readers that ran on them are not sold anymore. Just get an android phone for $100 to $150 or so like a Xiaomi mi a1 or mi a2 and you will be good to go.
hello
@2 and @3: i know that simbian is dead, but i want to try how it was and etc.
Well, there's supposed to be a Simbian emulator, but it's very, very hard to find when you aren't an official Nokia dev, of which you really can't become one anymore. Similar to that was Windows Mobile6 which I did get running in a virtual environment. Can't say the same for Simian though. Getting it emulated would be ideal since there were some Simbian games we were sent to include on the audiogames archive the Sean Randal created, plus Code Factory/Braillesoft stuff.
If you actualy want a Simbian device, the n95 and e71 are nice phones.
I didn't have Simbian when it was a thing and I still don't, but it would be cool to try them.
oh dude my first phone ever, nokia e5 running simbion os, i had russian language with voice irina used 1 year, oooo i dropped it 10 times, and it broked on my birthday when i dropped it 11th time.
Then i get an android phone.
well most great simbion phones are e72, e5, maiby e6 too.
Hi.
I am using Android phone for more than 4 years, but I still have my last symbian phone Nokia n82, before that I had Nokia n79, N73 and N70.
I don't think that nuance talks are being soled anymore, but you can find a completely working version if you google it.
for symbian phone that has Querty keyboard, as I remember you can use Nokia E72, C6, E5. these are the phones that i worked with them.
@Jack,
As my old symbian n82 is still working, I can check those symbian games before sending to AgArchive.net if you want.
hello
i checked all phone that you wrote, and i want to buy n72
but i have a question: how i can install mobile speak?
i mean what should i ask sighted to do?
Hi. N72 or E72?
because N72 doesn't have querty keyboard and also is very old, and has symbian 8.0 that is very old.
E72 is the symbian phone that has QUERTY keyboard and it's symbian os is newer
about installing Mobile speak, because of the copyright laws here, please contact me by my personal EMail address
adelakbari at gmail.com
and I will help you as much as I can
wait what's the fault about telling to person how to enable mobile speak? what's copyright making in that thing.
@giorgi elbaqidze,
explaining how to get mobile speak for free is against the copyright law, isn't it?
Does codefactory still sells mobilespeak for symbian?
I thought Mobile Speak was a win CE screen reader. I think you're thinking of Talks by Nuance.
Oh boy, how I miss the old days, I enjoyed navigating the web useing my e63 and reading novels with it. I wonder though, as for now, what can you use the phone for? pritty sure it still could be use to call and send text messeges, but internet... IDK.
but I do really think it was awesome, I love those old phone...
@Techmaster20: Mobile Speak4 and above was cross-platform for both Windows CE and Simbian. As for installing Mobile Speak, technically the trial servers are...surprisingly...still up. Not sure on the activation servers though, and can't speak for Nuance Talks. As for the licensing I am almost fairly certain that actual commercial copies are long out of circulation by now. CF also had the Mobile =Accessibility suite on Simbian before it hit Android, and they have pretty much thrown in the towel on Mobile Accessibility for Droid since it is no longer as relevant as it once was in the Froyo/Gingerbread days.
I was always behind in technology. My first phone was a bulky Nokia 6600. I had that phone When everyone was using simbian s3, but I had so much fun with it. There were apps that allowed doing some nasty things to other phones by connecting to them via bluetooth and getting admin access or something like that. It was possible to take their files for yourself, copy their contacts and then completely wipe it from that phone, make someones phone play music in their pocket, even calling and text messaging was on the list! then I got a nokia E71, and used it until 2015 when I couldn't stand It's lack of mane-stream apps, hell, even whatsapp was going to drop support for It soon. Even now, I wish there was an android phone as small and beautiful as my nokia e71.
