well, in my experience, I see that The best is  Digital ocean and namecheap and vultr
The only problem with namecheap,  is they don’t have only one data centre
what you think about this?

Digital ocean FTW. Plus Azure/AWS.

Linode or DigitalOcean. I've used and recommend them both.
I prefer Linode's web panel over DigitalOcean's though.

I like Linode. However, it looks like Digital Ocean is currently offering twice as many resources for the same price I pay to Linode, so I may jump ship. How accessible is the Digital Ocean website? How is their customer support?

edit

Never mind, the prices seem to match. I'll stick with Linode for now.

The problem with Digital ocean, is their support is not that good
and I am planning to move coolgamers.net VPS to linode, more data centres and good support.

I've had pretty good results with Hetzner Cloud. The web panel has some accessibility issues, but their command line utility is on point. If you don't mind a German datacenter location, they're great, though they may have other European countries covered too.

I get 32 GB of RAM and some decent number of cores for roughly $30/month. Pretty pleased with the performance for a personal server doing some light hosting of business assets. Uptime has been pretty solid. Haven't needed support for anything. I haven't pushed it too hard--I just think this amount of RAM and compute at this price is a no-brainer on my budget, so I went for it so I'd never have to worry about running out of resources. At the time I joined, I think 32 GB was the beefiest option, but they may have 64 GB and 128 GB options now too.

Of course, YMMV, and I'm not saying it's the best, but it's where I'll turn for more hosting. I'm US-based, but the German datacenter seems well-connected enough that I haven't had any notable performance issues.

@7, Linode has a ton of downtime problems though. Sure, DO's support isn't the best, but I don't have to contact them that often. I do wish their support was better though.
@8, 32 GB of RAM? What are the other specs? That definitely sounds too good to be true -- 32 GB of RAM for only $30.00/mo.

Best in turms of what?
Over i would say linode and digital ocean.
Linode has an amazing network infrastructure, it's awesome. I use it and currently have a server that has a 17 month uptime, I don't know where you're getting the tons of downtime problems from.

The mentioned plan here with the 32 gb memory is from Hetzner not linode.
To answer your question, there is no an official way to install a windows server on linode, but you still can follow some steps and do it.

@9: @13 got it. CX51, 8 VCPUs. I was wrong about $30--it's actually about $34. I remember the invoice amount each month which is roughly EUR 30, and while I get a receipt from the bank, it has a more generic subject line and I don't associate it with my bill quite as readily.

Pretty happy with them. I've used them for about 2 years now. Used Scaleway before them and they were one of the strangest VPSs I've ever had the displeasure of working with.

Linode rocks! I've only had one or two instances where my VPS was shut down due to hardware issues. The Linux VPS has been running smoothly for about 8 months now, so I really don't know where you're getting the downtime issue from.

Id also like to know more about Windows Server VPS options. I'd ideally like to try Windows Server 2019, because that's the most accessible version out of the box. Are there any VPS options that don't charge an insane amount and would let me play with a Windows Server for a day or two?

yes, You can open the website to get more info

Servers that cost $14.00 or low pries for windows servers usually have a catch since the company has to cut corners to get you that copy of windows in a genuine way.

I already use vps of contabo. servers are in Germany, but in my opinion have the best price.

they provide linux and windows, but as far as i know you have to talk to them to install windows server. I just used linux.

I think the only defect of the service is the site not very attractive in terms of accessibility. but after buying the product, it's very quiet.

it is incredible...

Silly question, but as someone used to Linux and SSH, what is the Windows VPS equivalent?

I need a Windows server for CI, and am thinking of picking up one of these $14 VPSs. Don't much care how fast/reliable it is, as long as it picks up jobs from GitLab and runs them at some point.

Just not sure how one accessibly connects to one of these remotely. I often see VNC mentioned, but IIRC that's just shoving graphical frames over the wire and piping back key/mouse input, and isn't itself accessible.

Thanks.
