Hi folks.
Well, it's been talked about for a while now, and it's in my hands *the beta is public invite only so I think it's safe to discuss this*. What I'm referring to is NVidia's Geforce Now cloud gpu. Unfortunately, it is nowhere near accessible, on the mac at least. On windows the splashscreen just appears and then disappears after about 10 seconds. Admittedly I could make a keyboard guide on logging in with Aira's help, but it's a dynamically changing application, and with the OCR on the Mac being so flaky and dependent on external software, I don't have much confidence. I really thought we had a lot going for this as not everyone has or cares to have a decent graphics card, not to mention if you use a macbook anything you are extremely! limited on graphics card upgrades, and virtual machine graphics drivers are mediocre at best. This would allow any midrange to high-performance machine to serve as your gaming rig. Well, not for us if it isn't even accessible.
NVidia hasn't responded to my tweet yet, so it looks like email's the next route. Their Twitter seems to only retweet and is a public relations gig rather than a support Twitter, unless I"m missing something.
