There is an English clan already currently, with all the western players and one Chinese player who we communicate with n the skype group. But it's impossible to know who speaks English unless you try and send a message to the world chanel... but to be fair, this is a Chinese game... most of the players probably won't use English if they don't hve to. This isn't an international game, officially.
Wlomas, there's no possibility of an English server at this point. Why make the time to make one when there are probably only 12 of us playing right now? The developer, judging by his apparent personality, probably has no interest in passing us the required code, either. But the main point being if there aren't enough people playing, then there's no point in it. lol
Yeah lets get more players first. Would also help a lot with bounties and helping clan costs.
For anyone interested in hearing what the game audio itself actually sounds like, here is a 7 minute recording of me doing a couple of delivery missions and going to a few different places. https://www.dropbox.com/s/t2f2xy39x6lun … y.mp3?dl=1
Hi.
Awesome. What is the english clan called, and how do I join it?
The gang name is:
昔阳仙派
The clan leader's name should show up as zhou dingyou, my character name.
Hello all!!!
Okay so first of all, thank you to Assault, for making the two demos.
I will say, for someone who really needs her hand held in any game, especially foreign ones, what you did really helped.
I think honestly, I wasn't too bothered about playing the game, till I listened to part two of your demo, and saw the actual game play.
Okay so yes, the time constraint in a battle, is damned annoying. Not, going to lie.
It does get on my nerves.
That being said, I've kind of started memorizing the order in which my skills come, so it's become easier for me. lol How that's going to work once I get more skills... is so very far beyond me. :d :d :d
I'm currently level 19, and I just started playing yesterday.
Yes, I have no life, no need to mention it. I'm very much aware of it. :d :d :d
One question though, how do you join a clan? I would love, to join the western clan thing, where people speak English. :d :d
That would help immensely, because yeah it does kind of feel like playing a multiplayer game single player, because I don't speak Chinese.
So yeah, if anyone can explain the whole clan thing?
that'd be amazing.
also, to William, try changing your keystroke.
Ctrl shift T might be interfering with another program. Mine, is set to ctrl comma, and that works swimmingly.
anyways, totally doen rambling.
off I go!!!
hi all, how are people managing when speaking to characters? if their dialogue is not put in to text, do we just have to guess what they are saying? for example, when clement when to get the medicine from the doctor, his dialog was not put on to the clipboard, does this not distract from the story when talking to characters?just curious ... glad all working now.
Just look at the topic... people are managing to play, using the tools I described in my demo which I also demonstrate... even as a native speaker, I still need to translate occasionally as I don't speak the same dialect of Chinese and am not as familiar with many of the older words.
Wlomas, in the dialog when you hear a character talk, press one of your arrow keys, usually the left one, to get the tts to read out the dialog... then copy it.
What is the game about? I heard its about managing troops, could someone give me more information?
hey Caio,
Please listen to the demos. You'll learn everything you want to know about the game, in the demos.
Assault does an amazing job of it, it's definitely worth listening to.
It's two hours well spent.
hi assault thank you for this, i o we don't need the tutorial, as you adiquately described the game in your demos, but i guess as you said the tutorial is self-voiced with no text to translate? going to start this later on, the game and get playing. just need register. listening how you do that in the demo now.
Hey William,
please let me know if you need any help with the registering stuffages. lol
I just had to do it this passed Saturday, so I remember how it's done.
That being said, the demo does an amazing job, yet again, at showing how all that works.
I had to listen back to it myself while registering.
Yeah. Assault has done an awesome job with the demonstration, and putting the required files together. The only thing which confuses me is the skills section, but I have figured those out.
There are a few things which you can't copy to the clipboard such as the tutorial, what the characters are saying in the battles and the frases the characters are saying when you pass by. Otherwise, I haven't found anything which can't be copied for translation.
Hi.
I finally found the english gang, which was difficult to find. Why not call this an english name? Well, I look forward to see what we can do in the clan.
We can do nothing, until the gang maintenance fee gets paid... and I gave it a Chinese name so the Chinese players would have an idea of what it was. It only allows you to enter a maximum of five chracters of text in the gang name.
OK, so I just started this this morning and I'm completely hooked. I'm alrady level 16 and just having a blast doing the story missions as well as the missions for your class. One aspect I can't wait to mess with is your home area, that seems like a really cool idea.
@stirlock: Welcome. Yeah, I'm also surprised how much I enjoy this game.
@Assault: Thanks for the explanation regarding the gangs. I look forward to check this out. Is there any ways we can help paying for the fee?
In your demonstration, you mentioned in the characters sections, that the automatic healing might be a newbie thing. I figured out that this is not the case. The item called Alter does exactly that, automatically heals the character and pet after battles. It will run out, but I'm not sure on when, or how to check the items status about when it is about to run out. Maybe you already know about this, but I would just mention, if you don't know already.
Do you know where to get plants to plant in your garden?
You get them from your housekeeper. And I did know that, I don't remembr what I said... if you can reference that for me, just so I remember. I believe the autohealing items last for an hour or so before you have to reuse them. I definitely know that though, thanks for the reminder anyway.
Well, maybe I misunderstood what you were saying in the demo, but you said something like autohealing, and this might only be active while being a newbie.
A quick question: My main character won't do any skills while fighting. So he just stands there doing nothing while being attacked. How do I get him to fight again? Anything I need to purchase?
You may have run out of Mana... so yes, you do have to purchase items. And I do think autohealing without any items is a newbie thing. But I could be wrong, though... pretty sure that did work until a certain level before I had to start using items to regenerate after battles.
Hi all,
Okay, so how do you guys have qTranslate set up?
I'm trying to set mine up like Clement's, where he can translate something instantly without having to pop up the qTranslate window.
Do you have two separate hotkeys for both translating the clipboard content and copying it to the clipboard to be output the clipreader?
