Hello.
I found a character sheet up for my IPhone but can't quite fill it out. I can read it once it's filled out by a fellow player but am wondering does anyone know of another app that is more accessible? the app I use is called 5th edition character sheet. I'm also looking for a copy of the 5th edition dnd book if anyone has a copy that is readable please send my way as we're about to begin a new campaign with new chars.  and I'd like to do  as muh on my own for char creation as posible.

See if the IOS app Fight Club 3 will do what you need. I think it has that, if not, I think the company makes other apps. Also, if you wait a bit, their is an app called D&D Reader that is coming out in the fall that has the books in it.

Give Fight Club 5th edition a try. It's not perfect, but so far, I find it surprisingly easy to use. You get 1 free character. The caveat, it comes with only open srd content, but if you're willing to do a little work, you can import content other users have created to get everything you need. The way that works is you'll have to copy these xml files into your dropbox, and then load them into the app. Also note it requires you to have the dropbox app on your phone. That seems to be the only way it connects to dropbox.

See this dropbox folder for xml files to import. I recommend going under compendiums and using whichever files from there you want. I found those to be the most comprehensive.

If I haven't scared you off with all that, cheers. As for the book, I've been using a combination of what wizards of the coast offers for free, the 5ESRD, and any other free sites. You might already know about those. I only started d&d a few months ago, so I'm pretty new to this. smile

wow .thanks? that's awesome. what do you do about rolling dice? is there a really good accessible dice rolling app? that you know of? or how do you deal with this?

Ah. Well, I got a braille set from 64 Ounces, but that will set you back $50. I'm sure there's at least one accessible dice rolling app out there. I haven't experimented with any. There's actually dice rolling capability in the Fight Club app, but I haven't figured out how to get it to do what I want. You can choose how many dice to roll and add modifiers. I might play with it more today and let you know if I figure it out.

Yep. 64 Ounce Games. Look for braille rpg dice.

Coming up late, I know, but still. I tried fight club 5, and I like it for the most part. What's really annoying is VO jumping all over the place when viewing classes. For the dice roller, try D20 dice. It's mostly accessible. It can only roll though, so no adding special bonuses or anything.

where can i find  more info about this dnd reader?

D&D Reader isn't out yet, it was just announced a few days ago. The D&D Beyond suite is a different thing, and that is mostly accessible, at least as far as the book material goes.
