Thinking of getting one of these. Can I get a list of playable games? I don't really mind if I need to flale around a bit, so just looking for games other than the obvious fighting ones. If fighting ones are the only playable ones, probably won't get it. Thanks for the help

Hi.
Sadly I have to say that the fighting games are actualy the only ones that are available and playable for this console.
I owned one for some time and checked around at the games market, but other than the obvious ones like MVC3 SF X TK and all the other, there was nothing new to be found.
Greetings Moritz.

For the vita, odin sphere is playable like in the ps4, samurai warriors 4 series is also playable except 4 empires, the beat-em-up version of hyperdimension neptunia i think it's also playable, then the blazblue games including the visual novel called XBLAZE is also playable, the zero escape series or 999 also known as nine hours, nine person, nine doors is also playable, injustice gods among us, and divekick.
That's all for the list of playable games on the vita

going in to the wilds, collecting pokedex, and capturing them are my kind of thing,
training them, making them evolve, and generally making them stronger is my ultimate goal,
fighting other manamon tamers, winning the tournament, and fighting octoros are what these manamons like to do,
and ultimately, I become the master of mana!

Yep, but the interface is crap... You need sighted help to navigate the home screen and to drag the games icons, so you can reach them by using the d pad.

Hi.
Na, that's not the problem, when you turn on the system and put in a game, you automatically land on the games icon and you just can hit x twice to start the game up.

So, how do you handle games you have bought from the Playstation Network?

Well, quite frankly, you can't, simple as that. As a matter of fact, there aren't any games out there on the PSN which are accessible.

I've posted some games that are playable on the vita, you can buy it on PSN if you want.

Wrong. There are a lot of playable games which you can buy from the Playstation Network. Some of them are PSN only, so the only way you can get those games are from the Playstation Network. There are some playable psp games also which has been imported to the Vita.

@Simba: Do you mean that the Main Vita interface no longer uses touch screen only? Because when I had mine I am pretty sure you could only use the touch screen in the main menu. But it was like 3 or 4 years ago.

2016-11-26 16:44:47

Hi.
You have two options to move on the home screen, one is the touch screen as you know it from your phone or tablet computer, the other one is using the joystick. The only problem is that you have to first set this up in the setting menu and you need sighted help for that, the bigger problem is that when you move with the joystick, the homescreen menu raps around and there is no moving sound.
As I stated, I wouldnt recommend the Vita, we may have to wait a little bit till sony releases their next handhelt console, if that will happen, well, I don't know.

OK. Unfortunately it would surprise me quite a bit if sony goes for another handheld console, and it is to bad that Sony made this console so unaccessible, while Nintendo learned a lesson from Sony itself by putting audio indicators for games and even internal applications in the main menu of the 3DS.

Hmm, maybe they will put up another handheld, we have to see.

On the Vita, when you have downloaded a PSN game, the icon is placed randomly on the home screen. When using the d pad on the home screen, the cursor moves like a mouse, so the icons needs to be dragged together to be made accessible. Otherwise you need to know how many times to press the arrow key to move to the next icon, because the cursor also moves between the icons like a mouse on the computer.
