You can not find metal on the main land, you will have to go to the camping grounds to get it off the fence.
To make a boat:
- Make two tide branches by combining a branch with a string
- Combine a branch with a tide branch to get a wooden triangle. Do this two times.
- Combine the wooden triangles with each other.
- Finish the disfigured frame with a knife (frame in one hand, knife in the other)
- Combine two woods (one in every hand) to get a procarious block. Do this two times.
- Combine every procarious block with clay to get a block.
- Combine every block with clay to get a sticky block
- Combine both sticky blocks to get a huge block
- Combine the huge block with the frame to get a disfigured boat.
- Take the disfigured boat in one hand, a knife in the other and combine them.
- Your boat is ready.
To make a spear:
- Take a stone in every hand and combine them.
- Take the sharp stone in one hand, a knife in the other and combine that to get a spearhead.
- Take a wood in one hand and a knife in the other, to create a carved wood. Do this two times.
- Take the carved wood in one hand, a knife in the other and combine that, also two times to get two shafts.
- Take one shaft in one hand, and another in the other hand and combine that to get a long shaft.
- Now combine the long shaft with the spearhead, and your spear is ready.
You cannot create a compass if you don't have metal. But if you have metal, you do it like this:
- Take one clay in one hand and combine that with your other hand to get a dipped boal. Do this two times.
- Take a dipped boal in one hand, and water in the other and combine that.
- Take leaves in one hand, and metal in the other, and combine that to get a direction finder.
- Now take the boal with water in one hand, and the direction finder in the other and combine that to create a broken compass.
- Combine the broken compass with a dipped boal to get a fully working compass

@catfish1953, if you have a death_free_card in your inventory, it will automaticly activate itself whenever you die, so you won't die, but insteed the card will be used to fix your thirst/hunger/health.
And a hint: death_free_cards won't save you underwater.

When the health reaches 0 it will automaticly be reset back to 1000 if you have a death free card so yes, it will revive you, so you won't be killed.

An admingun is a gun that only we admins can use. It has the same bullets as a revolver, but doesn't need to be re loaded. If you want I can give you one, but it's useless for you, unless you burn it.

1). is there a way to make a skillet?, or i must find it from gifts or corpses.
2). is there any benefits if i turn of my newvie flag?. also, what are these tittles people have? like supernatural?.

1) you can't make skillets. they are only gotten in gifts or sometimes in the store or gass station. It is really sad how menny things can only and only be gotten by gifts or in village, some of them can improve the game a lot (like antibiotics, health scanner, hammock, bike ...). But that's a bit off-topic so ...
2. No real benefits at the moment, just that for everyone else pressing p your name is shorter. If your energy is above 1000 or you have a death free card, you are supernatural.

First, I don't play this game, but death free card? I have just one thing to say. Stw is a realistic game. Death free card in Survive the wild? And anyone can get it by donating. Then think about it. If someone donates extreme amount of money and extreme amount of death free cards. some people can't donate because they don't have a PayPal acount, or don't have enough money to donate. That's how balance distruction occurs.

I do agree that this might look a bit inbalanced, but if you don;t play the game, then why are you worried? There are several ways to get extra items, like the gift shop in the village etc. I don't know exactly if death free cards are in a present, as well as teleporters, if not, maybe they could be? Other than that, I really don't see any issue...

@JWoodill21, Ishan Dhami already gave you a link to 3 playthroughs of STW from Walter. Also, there is the readme, which I really recommend you to read before starting playing. You can eather go to program files, Sam tupy, Survive the wild, readme, or go to start menu and find it there. It is not very up to date, but it still provides you with lots of info as to how to start.

Hi all! I just wanted to inform you that the stw server has moved! Thanks to people purchasing upgrades, I was able to finily get a good VPS and now i'm hosting the server on it! Meaning, I always have direct control! Woot! All character data was completely untouched. All you have to do is download the latest update, and click log in, and enjoy pings that are probably faster than what your used to! There are a couple of bugs in this update, but teh next update will patch all of them! Enjoy all!
