I don't think I'll have NVDA support at release but because of the updater I would probably be able to get it out to you guys within a few months after release. Currently I'm focusing on trying to get the game completed first.
It's the purchased voice that supports sapi. neotech is actually the most natural voice i've ever heard. There're many voices you can choose, and so many languages. I was lucky enough to have someone give the coppy to me.
It's at least better than anna
I don't mind SAPI as I got Ivona Joey and he works great!
I've listened to other, supposedly more natural sounding voices, including the vocaliser ones. They might sound like actual people but they're not expressive enough for me. If I'm reading a story, I want expressiveness, and that's why I love eSpeak in NVDA with the inflection setting maxed out.
@Rachel, I understand completely about it not being incorporated yet. I can be patient in that regard, and still look forward to the release when it comes! Like, seriously, I don't care who I have to listen to to play the game.
All I will say is if you do get NVDA support going, you might have to replace the spellings in the dialogues and stuff with the official ones. I can then post a list of the pronunciations I have for the various Pokémon (keep in mind these only work in eSpeak, but they work). I'd be happy to help on that score.
Hey, I'm not sure if this has been reported before, but I'm having trouble depositing Pokemon in the computer. I had five Pokemon in my party, and it wouldn't let me deposit any into the computer. It claimed that I had only one Pokemon in my party. Also, it was acting very funny when I tried to release a Pokemon. I tried to release the first Pokemon in my party, and it released the third instead. I tried to fix it by moving the Pokemon to the third slot, but it released the fourth Pokemon instead. It was pretty annoying because I was just starting my first Nuzlocke challenge too!
The news about the next update is fantastic, though. Best Christmas present ever!
Rachel knows about the computer not letting you deposit if there are less than six Pokémon in your party. From what she said on Skype, she fixed that bug, so you'll be able to box things properly in the next update.
Never noticed that problem with releases, though. When I released a weedle that died on me in my Nuzzlocke, it released the right one. As I recall, he was the fourth mon in my party, so maybe try that? I think the challenge should relax its rules slightly in cases of glitchy programming, rare as that is in the main games.
I would hold tight with Nuzlocke for now just because the current release isn't even finished yet and it's pretty buggy. It also doesn't have the updater I built last week, and the next release will be compatible with current save files. It also fixes that annoying bug with the computer so yeah. Just a couple more weeks now, I promise...
Rachel, I've sent you an email some days ago with information about the spanish translation.
I sent it from [email protected], so maybe it is in the spam folder
I sent it to [email protected], I hope that's right
let me know if you get it, and what do you think about the file, please
Greetings

Okay, great. I guess I know what I will be doing over winter break! I haven't had much time to devote to the challenge, anyway. I found a way around the problem by waiting to catch more Pokemon and just not using the ones that had fainted. I probably wouldn't have noticed the problem with releasing Pokemon if I hadn't started the challenge because I would never, ever release any of my Pokemon under normal circumstances. I stupidly lost my Charmander (nicknamed Charcoal) to the poison of a puny Weedle in Viridian Forest, and that was traumatic enough for me.
Oh no! If I'd lost my starter I'd start over from the beginning. In fact, I've done just that before. I also picked Charmander and have kept him alive by levelling him up to several levels above them bugs. He could get them in one hit when I got to Viridian myself. As I think I mentioned, my only loss was my first Weedle, which meant I had to over-level my mons to beat Brock with sheer determination, but it was worth it because I got a Pikachu to deal with Misty.
It also helps to use the cocoons to get exp for mons you don't want in danger. They yield a lot of exp and don't fight back.
how do i get to the next place after getting the thunder badge?
Braillemon has had problems on XP in the past.
If you have a newer version of windows, try using that.
Rachel, I have an idea for something that could be added in a later update.
I'm not sure if I've suggested this before but here goes...
Their should be a feature where a particular door or building or exit can be marked with a special sound so it can be navigated to.
This would not require flag data within the save, as it would be stored in memory for the currently loaded area.
It would disappear when the point is reached or if the player changes areas.
In this way, buildings or exits that all sound alike such as in MT Moon can be found more easily.
Later!
how do i put someone else save in to my game? I'm helping them get past Mt. moon
where is the poster in the game corner?
ok. what about finding the poster in the game corner?
Unfortunately, you're at the end of the current version.
Hopefully, rachel will have the new update out sometime in the next two weeks.
Edit: It's now december 9, 2015.
Rachel, what's the status on Braillemon!
I'm not trying to bug you, just curious...
Later!
Hello,
Just downloaded this game, and was wondering if there was a way to change the volume of the music? I want to decrease it so I can hear my SAPI voice. Currently the music is drowning it out.
And, is there a way I can increase the volume for SAPI while playing?
in the new update, is there going to be online battles with other players? this is what im waiting for to pull me into this game
I don't think online is going to happen in this update.
at this point, Rachel is trying to get the main game finished.
Hopefully that update will come vary soon...
Later!
