Okay sent in another feedback mail.
the mails did leave my phone, so hopefully this one will arrive, I confess I'm a little weary of tryiung multiplayer or progressing too far into the game  I don't have an account, let alone purchicing any gold.

I hope to be able to put together a db entry for huboodle in the next few days.

Hi.

The change player name thing unfortunately still doesn't work for me, I must confess this system I do find a little irritating.

the player name is Guest_XKZlVF

If you can change it manually that would be great.
As I said above I generally go by Dark or darkempathy and my email is dark at x g a m dot org.

Thanks.

I would really like an android version of these games. Could you also make air hockey, and other games similar to blindFold games but for android? thanks.

2018-02-19 03:52:44

actually they have battle cats, word war, and word builder for Android, just not yet combined under the Huboodle platform.

Also for those who want to know I have had the same problem Dark has been having. I bypassed the issue by connecting it to a facebook account I had though that was after I lost a lot of progress when a bug caused me to have to completely erase the game and its save file and because it didn't take my e-mail and password changes, it  kept me from going back and continuing where I left off so I lost everything. I have since gotten more done there than I did on my previous file so I don't want it fixed now but I can understand the frustration.

Huboodle now has a db page, find it here

Actually I feel a little guilty for not getting this done sooner, indeed I do hope Lee hobbs and others at Appa11y didn't think my miner irritation at the signup process was the reason the page didn't get added big_smile.

As with other multiple game platforms such as Rs games, the page will get expanded with details of more games as and when they are added.
I'm also afraid that I did take a miner shortcut and simply note that Word war, Battle cats and Word builder are available for Android.

Btw,  Had you considered making a "casino"  separate from the other games containing blackjack, Pirate Poker and likely the wheel of fortune too? It just seemed a little strange to me that the wheel of fortune was inside trivia trail, when all the other games were separated, and especially if more casino games are coming in the future, it'd be nice if there was a specific place for them.

one thing I am liking in Huboodle is the extensive single player options and the congrats messages, that's definitely a nice way around, and also appeals to the less competitive, though the competition options are obviously there too.

One game I'd love to see (indeed I've been looking for for a while), is a board game style trivial pursuit, with different squares offering different questions, indeeda Huboodle board game where different squares involved different types of challenge or casino games would be pretty cool, especially to play with someone else, actually my lady is a big fan of word and trivia games, and though we do play games on the Amazon Alexa it'd be nice to have something for Ios we could do together, or indeed separately.

hello, we've got an issue with the new version. But first some praise.

I love the new Simon game and as far as I know I currently hold one of the upper 10 scores there. I also like that you put in an animal alternative to make it fun if you don't want the old tones.

I thought of a way you could expand it down the road. I'm perfectly happy with it now but some ways you could make it more interesting and fun for those who have played it a lot or a way for you to get a few bucks in.

Audiogames Hub, a New Zealand-based audio games hub like yours, though not as socially focused, has simon on it too. One thing it has to keep it interesting is that it  has dozens of soundpacks that change the tones of the simon buttons, including such things as electric guitar sounds, drum beats, r2d2 type sounds, and over 40 others. You can get a few just by playing the game, and also a daily reward for signing in can on rare occasions get you a free soundpack, but a great many are for sale and you can spend real money to get them or a lot of coins.. In addition to classic simon sounds and the 4-animal pattern you have now, you could release additional silly little add-ons to play the game with other sound effects that we could buy, plus an occasional (Here's a free one for everybody.)  option for those who aren't willing to pay or able or who just might need a taste of what's available.

Haven't played the Ludo game yet and don't even quite know what Ludo is but going to try it out at some point. And also good for even more fun word search things for us to do.

Now for the issue I found.

After the update, when I try to go to my stats page to check out my stats and such, the game crashes and kicks me out onto my homescreen rather than bringing it up. The game is still running according to the app switcher screen and when I go back I'm on the homescreen again. I have not yet checked if this happens just with the stats tab on the bottom right of my screen or whether it includes any time I bring up someone's stat page. If it is the latter it will make it impossible to have me play multiplayer pvp stuff. Going right now to give it a try.

Update: It seems it is simply the stats tab thing that is broken, I got into battle cats and acted as though I was going to challenge someone to a game and it worked fine. The only time it crashes is when I use the stats tab. However, it crashes when I do this 100% of the time.

again, I can live without looking at my stats for a bit, so it's all good and don't worry about me rage-quitting or anything as things stand. Just thought You'd like to know, especially since my ipad isn't set up to send e-mails right now or do facebook messaging.

Have a wonderful day and thank you for this game that continues to impress.

Hi Bookrage,

If you get email setup can you hit the feedback button, add a message to the email like "bookrage" (so I know it is you) and then hit send?  It will give me your device and iOS info to help with debugging.  I can't reproduce your issues and there seems to be some Unity issues with some iOS versions.  If you don't get email rolling please let me know your username, device, and iOS version. And for anyone else with issues, please also use the feedback button on the settings page. We don't monitor these forums daily and it helps us debug issues much quicker.

Sorry for the stats troubles too.  Will continue to look into it and get it fixed as soon as we identify the issue.

Thanks for playing!

HI. Just wondering, is there going to be an Android app? I believe that I saw somewhere that there will be but not entirely sure so just wanted to see how that is going.

2018-04-02 23:50:19

Hi. Does someone is using an ipad for play huboodle? I can't play trivia rush and ludo. The iphone interface is working ok but I would like to use my ipad. I use it for most IOS games. When I try to play them from the ipad, it appears a screen with something like sponsored add and can't reach the game menu. Thanks!

2018-04-03 03:43:45

I don't have a problem with Trivia Trail, at least I didn't, haven't checked since the update and I use an iPad to play this game. I haven't tried Ludo yet. But get your e-mail sent to these guys from the feedback section and let them know of a crash or whatever you are having.

2018-04-05 06:51:45

Can any one please tell me what games there are on android so far that you guys play in the hubudel app on ios? Thanks

best regards
never give up on what ever you are doing.

2018-04-05 15:04:34

on Android I believe they have word builder, battle cats, and Word War, the last two are exact copies of each other  just one is cat themed and one is not. I think I have that right.

2018-04-05 16:23:45

Sadly, unless I am missing something, the only one for Android at this time is "Word Builder."

If they have the other two, they don't show up in the playstore yet.

2018-04-05 17:00:40

Trenton is right, word builder is the single one from the playstore.

I am myself and noone is ever gonna change me, I am the trolling master!

2018-04-05 22:28:33

I stand corrected, my apologies for misinforming you.

2018-04-06 14:03:52

Hi. For those who are playing on ipads, I discovered what causes the eror mentioned a few posts back. When you click on play ludo, use your rotor untill you will find direct touch or something like that. Swipe it to be onn and that's it. Happy playing.

2018-04-10 13:41:44

Just gave these a try and will be doing writeups for the db.

One question I do have is I notice that both classic and quick games for Ludo say that you don't stop another's pawn from moving by having a blocade of two pawns on one space, are variants with blocades planned in the future? ditto with safe squares, indeed when I looked up Ludo on wikipedia I heard about several interesting rule variants which might be fun to play (I particularly liked the idea of being able to move a block of two pieces together since it reminds me of a game we used to play whe I was young called dizy dinosaur which involved trying to get cave men pieces home along a board ludo style, without them being knocked off a space by the dreaded clockwork dizzy dinosaur of the game's title.

For the ludo rules see Good old wikipedia

Simon variants would be nice too, though since simon is such a common audiogame and has had so many iterations, it might be more interesting  see more of games unique to huboodle such as Ludo, the word searches etc.

We will be releasing a masters version of Ludo in the future where you will have to kill a pawn to enter home and two or more pawns of the same color in the same spot will form a wall no one can pass. We first need to enhance the ability to invite others to play (via text, email, Facebook, etc.) and fix the double tap delay issue that is causing players to keep tapping and doing inadvertent actions.

Once we get it dialed we will push out a masters version. And now that we have a multiplayer platform we will start working on getting another 2-4 player game out the door. Should have a maintenance release out in the next two weeks and a new game (hopefully next month) added to Huboodle. Hang in and keep sending us feedback via the settings feedback button.  Thanks for the support too!

Thanks for all the work you're doing, I think ludo just became my new favourite time waster. haha

2018-05-03 02:15:36 (edited by amerikranian 2018-05-03 02:17:33)

Alright folks, time to crash and burn! Or, in the normal terms time for me to give a review of this game.
So, let's start with the positives. 1, the fact that you put in accessibility into your games is amazing, and I'm sure are whole community would agree with me. 2, I think word builder became one of my favorites to pass time, even though I suck at spelling. I also picked up new words while playing, such as ilk, mite, veil, and lei.
However, I do have a few complaints. First, why didn't you just keep the simplicity from dice world? It worked, and I think still does beautifully. The reason for me asking is that a lot of games seem to be real sluggish with voiceover. For example, word builder. It's way way slower to swipe and tap on words to the point where my tapping doesn't register with the game. This is not a huge issue with games such as word builder, but it becomes a pain in the ass in the games like ludo palooza. You could be asking me "why?" Here's an example.
Let's say for simplicity's sake that we both have 2 pawns on the board. Mine are at 26 and 1, and my apponent's are at 24 and 3. It's my turn, and I roll a two. Here's a catch, though. There is a chants of the game lagging and thinking that I tapped the pawn at 26 instead of 1, which is what I meant to do. Thus, the game moves the wrong pawn and the other player is given a chants to kick me off the board.
You can see why I'm frustrated, to say the least. I know the right move, I mean to make the right move, and the game lags and completely screws me over.
Compare Ludo to something like word search single player mode. That thing works beautifully, even though I don't understand how to play. No lag, as low of a delay as I can expect for comfort, and the best thing about it? While confusing as hell, it still keeps original interface everybody is used to and just overwrites some gestures, which I don't understand why the other games can't do.
Another complaint is Trivia Trail. I get why the questions are repeating in order, what I don't get is why the choices switch. Does it really matter if it's A or C if you already know the answer? It's like on Staar tests. Something like:
"Explain why there was a sudden population growth in California during the high 1840s and low 1850s. A, California provided more jobs for immigrants, B, US congress awarded every US citizen with free tracts of land if they move to California, C, Large amounts of mineral deposits have been found, or D, California provided more economic and profitable opportunities."
See how long and complicated that was? While it doesn't really fit with the point I'm trying to make here, it should provide you with an idea I'm trying to get across which is "Keep the answers the same!"
We're almost done, but I need to go back to my interface gripe. Have you used voiceover with Trivia Trail? If you haven't, please do. Half the time my cursor jumps from choice to choice, or it goes back to the question when I try to double tap the answer, causing me to lose some of my time and or get the question wrong because I double tap twice to make sure the game registers it.
One last thing before wrapping it up, why do repeated questions award you with extra time? I understand them adding some seconds for getting them right for the first time but it doesn't make sense for the second, third, fourth, and so on. I could just go answer question number 1 and get 2 wrong on purpose and keep giving myself extra time, thus making impossible for me to lose.
I was joking, we're not done yet. In Poker, why does only a pare of jacks or higher award you anything? If you both have a pare then whichever one is highest wins, not only jacks. So for example if I have a pare of 8s and you have a pare of 7s, I'd get my money because 8 is higher then a 7. Is that an oversight or is it some version of poker that I don't know about? If so, please link me to it, I'm interested to know.
Last thing, for real. Can someone explain Word Search to me? I can't understand that game to save my life.
Few. That was a long post, even by my standards. Thanks for reading.

agreed with some of your points there. for some reason ludo and word builder  drains my battery pritty quick too.
for word search, you just have to find the require words on the board/grid. here, I try to explain, just skip if you're not ready with nasty broken english:
so the list of words that you have to found are on the bottom of the screen, just double tap it to spell the word.
say, you have to find the word pizza and here's the example of the grid:
C, a, r, b, d, f.
R, A, l, l, f, z
S, z, h, g, t, m.
t, z, g, f, e, k.
q, i, a, r, f, g,.
y, p, p, i, e, z
found pizza on there?
use vertical navigation in the game to make things easyer.
so, yeah, there is pizza on the grid  (if you read from above) it is spelled vertically from bottom to top:
a
z
z
i
p
so what you have to do just double tap the first letter of the word, in this case, P, and double tap the last letter of the word, a, done. say, you have to find pie next, just do the same thing, although pie is spelled normally this time, from left to right , it's on the last row
simple really, but could be frustrating at time if you're not paying atention, there is a harder mode, you can change it on the setting, although I haven't try that yet.

@amerikranian, I believe the extra time in trivia trail and the random answers are connected matters, since if you could just memorise the quiz order as 1 a , 2 b, 3 a, 4 c etc, it would make the quiz very dull to play and negate the very point of you having to reanswer questions, namely getting to know the facts.
This is why the answers are randomised so you actually have to pay attention to the questions, and why you get extra time for answering them again, so that your need to pay attention to them doesn't scupper you, especially with having to listen to the questions with Vo.

As regards the sluggish vo issues you mention in Ludo though, I've never run across that myself so i wonder if it is either your device, your version of Ios, or your net connection that is going slightly wonky here since I've not experienced that problem myself and I've played several games of Ludo, its a great time waster as Jace said big_smile.

Also to add to what Jace said with the word search. The way I play is to  check the next word with the right three finger swipe, then flick  through the letters.
Say I was looking for the word violin, I'd keep flicking until I got to a  letter v. I'd then do one flick right, one left one up and one down, looking for the I.

If there was an i above the v I'd do another flick up to see if the letter above was an o and so on.

Sometimes I will also go for ends of words, EG if the word was Violin, and I run across an N in the grid I might do my up, down, left right flicks to see if any of the leters near it are an i and an o and work backwards to the v.

the only thing I do wish in the word search is that you could change vo to having phonic pronunciations, since sometimes when flicking fast I miss hear b and p or d, or m and n which can be a miner pain.

With our dreaming and singing, Ceaseless and sorrowless we! The glory about us clinging Of the glorious futures we see,
