I will try it out: as soon as I get the python runtime.

You don't need Python run time to run this, only if you want to use source code.
The game is packed with special software, which lets it run without Python.

Version 0.2 alpha has been released.
The game window now has proper title and game should not be so CPU hungry.
The link is the same.

Hi!
I just downloaded the game but if I click the .exe-file, the game doesn't start. What can that be? Nothing happens and no message appears.

Greetings,
Janagirl!

Well, I have no idea, it worked for me.
Have you unpacked all files and have you kept the directory structure?

Hi!
Yes, I unpacked the files completely and didn't change anything...

Greetings,

Hi,
I am happy to announce that United guards 0.3.1 is online and ready to serve your entertaining needs.
Main changes is local score board and ability to translate the game into your own language.
Just get the terms from ug.pot file (try poedit) and you can begin translating.
Feel free to send me translations or make pull request to my git repository at
https://github.com/vojtapolasek/united_guards
I plan to make a stereotest for the game, sort the score board by the highest score and add several modes of play.
Download from here:

Please report any problems or bugs.
Thank you,
