Hello all.
I have a very strange sound problem here on my windows 7 laptop.
Well, The speakers work, are enabled, nvda is speaking and I can hear it.
Though sometimes, all sound somehow gets turned off.
NVDA still speaks, and a few sounds play, but pretty much the vast majority of my sound scheme doesn't play when told to do so.
For example, the open program sound stops as well as the usual internet explorer sounds.
Also, my num lock sounds and cops lock, and scroll lock sounds also get disabled some how.
Has anyone had the problem and how have you gotten around it?
I know that re selecting the scheme sometimes works, but only for a while.
Thanks all.

Hi,
I know this problem. I had it as I yet used a vista laptop.
I got to do with this problem after installing virtualbox on the system and trying it out.
Do you have it installed? If yes, this can be the source of the problem.
Now I'm using windows7 and everything works well
I have some NVDA issues but all other things I need are working very well for me.

No. I don't have that installed.
I did at one point install VMware player, but it was doing this far before that.
I've now uninstalled it.
