I certainly approve of the sound Effects Sk8kid, though oncemore I'd love to see an actual ending to the game in site rather than just wracking up more and more points. I gather that this is ann attempt to produce something real time online ----- being as the cannon was mooving faster the more times I hit the enemy castle, most cunning programming methinks.

On the one hand some extra weapons and stratogy might be nice, but I'm not sure if you'd be able to tab over to them before another cannon moving prompt appeared.

My score was 18.

Btw, what's the "Battle" button for, other than starting your cannon moving at the beginning of the game? I tried using it in the middle of the game and that's what got my castle destroyed by the 18th enemy cannon ball ----- methinks they have a much stronger castle!

The battle button is just to start the game. In the full version, you will have more weapons. If you miss on five, you will have a slightly weaker weapon. If you miss with the weaker weapon, there will be an even more weaker one. When I talk about weaker, I mean it will take less and less dammage. This means, the full version will have the castles having something like hp. You found out a good bug in the demo, I thought I had it programmed so if you got 10 points, you'd win. Problem is, I didn't have time to beat the game. I'm happy you're a better gamer than I am. Finally, you hit it right on the nose, this game was aiming for webbased realtime. I'm glad you liked it for the most part.

I can't play it. It says something about daily download limit.

yes, but just go back 24 hours later and... it should be... there again.

I do commend DSG on creating interesting games and whatnot...but I dunno. I'm a little short on patience sometimes. I want things that are immersive instead of pretty much point-and-click. Perhaps I'm just on a bad day...don't mind me.

There's room for both immersive and quick time killing games out there. Unfortunately whilst there have been great efforts in immersive games they still lag behind mainstream games a long way. I know all the reasons for this, it's just hard for me since only 5 years ago I was playing those mainstream games myself.

Ditto there Cx2, and with the Gba going out of fashion in favor of hand helds that won't full screen like the Ds and Psp, and what seems to be another swing back towards 3D games, I think I'm going to also be stuck for games to play pretty soon.

But I was quite intreagued by a real time web based game, perhaps the link based games can be brought up to a better and more immersive system using occasional real time elements, along with sounds and music of course.

But Somebody stil needs to work on Audio Zelda or something like.

like i said, i have sounds from both sonic1 and super mario 1 2 3 and world.
i'd be happy to put together a tj/smb mod, i could do that easy, i just couldn't distribute it, as it is phillip benfall's property.
but, i could provide you with the sounds if you want?
i'll need to hunt up the link, there's a whole website with sm sounds from snes to n64.
interested?

such timeless classics as koopa's doomship, normal world 1 and 2, all kinds.

i'll post it below
best reg, and happy modding.

the url is

this is the best website for supermario sounds,
this website has several mario games, including super mario world, 1 2 3,
super mario brothers, smb allstars, super mario kart, super mario golf,
super mario n64.
You are not going to find a better collection of mario wavs.
there are fireballs in wav, mushrooms, super mario sounds, flying mario, coins, everything.
if you want sonic 1 sounds too, tell me and i'll hunt down the url for that too.
happy modding!

I'm sure most people know about it anyway, but the Snes Music archive site features almost every single Snes game soundtrack ever in it's original Spc format, pluss there's a handy Winamp plug in to play them, and instructions on creating Wavs of the music. If you like you could also use a specialist player like Meridian Tracker or Deliplayer to play spc stuff, but personally I prefer winamp.

Here's the Url:

I also once found a site with various game soundtracks in Mp3 format. they had all the Mega man games, several Metroid titles, Streets of rage 1 and 2, Smash Brothers Mellee and all the Sonic games up to and including Sonic R for the dream cast. annoyingly the site decided to shut down before I could get everything ----- daaaaaaamn them, but if it ever comes back i'll be sure to let people know.

First, pretty quick. I know most do, but for those who don't, the second demo and final version for destroy the castle have been released. Just incase there was any confusion.
I've probably posted this before, but I'll say it again. I am always interested in an accessible, classic sidescrolling game. 3d games are great, but I'd love to play a sidescrolling Mario game. When I was little, I played nes Mario games with my dad. We never managed to beat that game; so many ways to go.
