hi

first let me say i am so sorry if this topic exists in the wrong forum. my appologise.

the reason why i write this topic. i am very good in the scripting language HTML i am writing my one interactive stories for fun. i am writing them in dutch. but later on i'll prpbably write one in english. i don't know what the futere has for surprise.

my problem is i want to upload pages to the internet myself. at the moment i am writing pages and one of my mates uploads them. i want to do this myself.

FTP stands for file transfer protecol and is used to upload scripts to the internet, for the people who doesn't know what ftp is.

but i hope somebody has a blind friendly ftp cliënt and i hope when he/she post this he/she will write a little tutorial for better understanding.

i'll approciate it.

thanks for reading and i hope people can answer soon.

ciao

mike

Yes, I'm afraid this topic was in the wrong forum as while you wanted to do it for game related means, it's not strictly a games question.

no problem though I moved it.

There is a program here on the downloads page of whitestic.co.uk (a generally useful site),  called ftp explorer which seems to be exactly what you want.

however I've not used the program myself, though as it's listed on whitestick I presume it's accessible.

I suggest you look on the Ftp explorer homepage and see what you make of it.

Our souls with high music ringing; O men! It must ever be
That we dwell in our dreaming and singing, A little apart from ye. (Arthur O'Shaughnessy 1873.)

thank you for moving the topic dark, but i've tried ftp explorer and it is accessible for the blind, at this point i am sure. but there is a problem. when i want to upload, i have to select an file on my system. i've done this and a few seconds later the program tells me the that it is uploading my file. i'll look at it again when i am done with this message. but when i am looking at the webserver the file can't be found. but my mate said the file exists.

i believe my mate because he is the expert on webbuilding and ftp.

but if somebody uses ftp explorer as well maybe could he/she please tell me how it works exactly.

thanks.

I don't know how accessible it is, but I use Filezilla every day myself.  It is an excellent FTP client, and a possible "plan B" for you, pelantas, just in case ftp explorer doesn't work out for you.  Unfortunately I've never used that one, so I can't help.
