The vOICe works with images, webcams, and can be set to interpret what's on the screen as well. Eventually I'd hope that Aprone's seeingwithsound program could do as much, too. 
... I'd also hope that I would eventually finish at least one of the projects I've started just this year alone, but we'll see how that goes. ^^
