Hello
I posted a topic regarding this matter a long time ago. Rather than trying to search the forum for old topics, I decided to post a new one. I have major issues with cheats in project 64, which is a nintendo 64 emulator. When I open the cheats dialog box, the cheats appear to be checked, according to NVDA. When I try to manipulate the cheat in any way, it is automatically unmarked upon closing the cheats dialog box. If anyone has any way to solve this problem, I would greatly appreciate it. Take care!

I seem to be having the same issue, though I’m not sure if it’s NVDA specific. I had my brother try to click the button with the mouse, and it worked until we close the window whereupon it unchecked itself again.

as for the cheat problem, I have never tryde this emulator, but will look into it, should have an answer in about an hour max.

so, every cheat is checked by default, don't let that fool you, it means it's off, to turn it on check the thing, and it should say half checked, do it again and it will say not checked. Then it's on and ready for use.

Uh... What? Wow, that's a huge accessibility issue LOL. I'd use Retro Arch instead, but I can't get Super Mario 64 to work with it at all. I tried the European and US roms, and I tried them with both N64 immolators, and nothing worked. The roms only work with Project 64. Maybe a reinstallation of Retro Arch is in order? Hmm...

sounds like a video output issue
Try switching it to vulkan, or direct 3d11, GL should work fine to, but if that's the one your using try switching.

Hello
I tried to press the spacebar twice on the cheat itself, and yes, you are right in that it needs to say not cheched in order for it to work. The issue I have is the cheats turn off automatically upon closing out of the cheats dialog box. What do I need to do to keep them ticked? Take care!

there is a setting that says something about remember cheats, it's in advanced settings.

that is odd, they work for me. You could use retroarch that way you are gerenteed to have them work.

then you can use m64py. It's a frontend for moopen64 plus, which I think is better for n64 emulation.

How do I get a ROM to start in M64py? I tried to open a ROM there and the damn game would not load. The ROM in question is Super Smash Bros. I downloaded M64py from vimm.net. Take care!

you need to get it from github, viim should only be used for rom downloads.

Question, how playable is super Mario 64?

M64py is much better when it comes to acuracy and sound, the cheats also work better there to. Floting mario in mario 64 is fun to mess with. The emulator has auto input config. This is a frontend based on the commandline moopen64 plus. Moopen64 is an inhansed version of moopen64, only problem. It doesn't have a native GUI, that's why m64py was made.
