@meatbag, going to check.
@48 and @49, that error was hopefully fixed in the next update, but so we release that we need to make sure that the virus problem is gone.
@50 will try making it work at mac, although i can't tell you that it will be 100%, because mac with python is a bit of headache, but we'll see.

@50
i don't think so

mohamed, you should downgrade to python 3.8, as not all the modules work well with python 3.9

best regards

Hello all,
Sorry I'm dropping in a bit late on this topic, I know Mohamed has been responding to most people but I'd also like to throw in my responses as well.
I performed a scan on my entire drive, including excluded folders, and it told me I was clean and up to date, that no viruses or malware was detected. But I will keep trying to see if its an issue either on my end or Mohamed's end.
Also concerning the pitch bugs and aircraft starting bug, those should be patched in 1.1.

Hi, what I realy like about this game is that it is an offline shooter. I realy like offline games and after so many multiplayers, it is great to see that. Keep it up guys. Maybe a difficulty selection could be implemented as well as a safe game feature.

2020-11-24 18:01:32

hello
@59, the option of saving is a thing we thinked about from the starting of the game, but however since we are vary new to python, it's not that easy to do it, but we will try to do it anyways, and glad that you do like the game
@56, my bootcamp windows uses python 3.8, but the mac uses python 3.9, and i am still trying to find a way to let it stop showing the error about encoding stuff and etc, but even searching in the web didn't help, but it should have a fix somewhere else
@55, oh dam, i hope that i didn't get it because i talked to him already. big_smile
eitherways, a update fixing most known errors is coming soon, including the windows defender virus one. and the aircraft traseback.

for those swaring that his a virus, if it was a virus, all the people who actually ignored the virus warning or didn't get it would not be saying it is not a virus, they would be saying, DO NOT PLAY IT, IT IS A VIRUS  wouldn't they, think about what you are reading before you jump to conclusions.

@61 than why windows defender is flagging it, its not  a bgt issue, and unles a reason that makes sense for that is given that is not like the useless words of post 61, sorry but its the truth, i'll refrain from playing it

2020-11-24 23:36:21

Not sure if its an issue on my end, but I've had quite a few Python projects flagged as viruses before. Now, of course, I am not using this to defend the fact that Shooter XT doesn't have a virus, the possibility is there. But I believe that people mistake that Python projects are able to be flagged. I once had RS Games (yes you heard me, RS Games) be flagged by Defender before.

Windows Defender is purposely trigger happy.  It would rather kill them all and let the user sort it out than let anything slip past.
Potentially unwanted program (PUP) protection is also on by default.  So many hobbiest programs will likely be flagged.

2020-11-24 23:39:17

@61 you don't know something is a virus from the get go. If you installed an app, then right away started having problems, what would you trace it back to? The thing you just installed, not the thing you installed a few weeks ago.

2020-11-25 03:27:43

Well, here's what Microsoft Defender is thinking.
Trojan:Win32/CryptInject!mlSevere11/25/2020 3:21 AM  collapsed  1 of 1
what makes me unsatisfied about this alert is the fact that the virus mentioned in the alert is indeed pretty dangerous, and it's almost impossible that one of SXT's devs has it on their pc with out getting effected whatsoever, because it encrypts data and/or causes your computer to stop functioning properly, then it would ask you to pay an amount of money based on where you actually liv, so yeah, I'm not buying that for now, but I'm not risking my computer none the less

Hey you who told me to take my clone take your own. This is the devil not a game. The game should be an interesting challenge, not a frustrating apology for the shit that drives players into a furious bladder fever. I prefer kotilla roini, they at least tried there.

Kotilla... what? Seriously, what game are you talking about? Are you sure you're all right?

I usualy speak french, so please excuse all my english mistakes. Thanks!

@65 what are you on about, I am saying that no one has said that this is a virus except windows deffender, every one who has ignored the warning (if they have got it) have not got a virus, it is fine.

Please stop talking.

2020-11-25 19:20:31

@70, for me, better safe than sorry, liked the idea but sad

2020-11-25 20:52:59

SO i don't no if this has bin said before. i don't check on this alot but, can you make the starting up seen for the plain a little faster, it takes way to long imo and buy the time it's up and running your all ready getting shot at like the boats on D day. lmao

@70 again, I'm not saying it's a virus. But I'm also not saying it isn't. As I said, how would you know no one got a virus from it? As I said, viruses normally take quite a while to take effect.

2020-11-25 21:49:46

@blindLightning, you're original post is erm, strange to say the least. you go on about how people read stuff and jumps to conclusions. OK< people does that, however the difference here, is the anti-virus, not something they red on the internet, anti! virus! flagged, a python! Programme! as a virus! So, f course there would be rooom for alarm.
