Saw the new update. Love the redesign of the game's sounds and the increase in the difficulty of the endless mode. Made it to level 28 before, surprise, getting killed by an enemy. I think we've made enough tweaks to keep this interesting. Very much approve of the update. Now if we can vary up the map with more besides obstacles, I'll be a very very happy man

I get the same fatal error on my GPD Win, and it looks like the log is pointing to the same missing DLL. What DLLs does the game need? Are they installed with the game? I think not. I recently did a clean install on the GPD Win.
Strangely, this game runs fine on my Bootcamped MacBook Air, so I assume something else I installed has the necessary components to allow the program to run. You may have to update the zip file to contain the necessary dependencies.

For now, I'm playing v1.0 of Crime Hunter from the Internet Archive (which by the way there's another menu music beat that needs to be in later versions that sadly is not).
Versions 1.3 and 1.4 (if anyone kept their archives which I sadly did not), has the missing DLL file needed for the 2.X series. And no, I have no clue what said DLL file is called.

@184 this DLL is imbedded in the executable and the weird thing is it sometimes works and sometimes does not. I'm not sure what causes this.

I found a minor glitch in the newest version of the game.
If you achieve your high score exactly on Endless mode, the game will tell you that it's your new high score when in fact it isn't.
So, say, if my high score was level 6, and I die on level 6, I will be told that it's my new high score when it actually isn't
