Awesome sauce. Now I feel like I'm not being over-hyped right now. May pick this  game up for PSE if I get one (the 3D audio for PS5 would make this game even better imo).

It's an article very, very interesting!
A little question ianhamilton_, it's write that only the console who has the language in English will have TTS in game at the beggin of the game.
Is it possible, when you can, to say us how to active TTS exactly for the people who haven't the console in English?

In all cases, there are multiples options, and it's very good. We can activate few things, other not, it's the best thing which can do it!

Not super familiar with the Playstation ecosystem. My Xbox 1S was around $200-$250. I recognize that it's a budget console, and so far the only effects have been slightly longer load times, so I'm fine with that. Is there a similarly-priced Playstation model? Everything I'm finding on Amazon is $350 or so.

Thanks.

@6 for now I can't say anything other than what's in that post unfortunately, but the review embargo lifts on Friday so there should be some more information then. A couple of accessibility sites have already said that they'll have reviews up on Friday.

@7 If price is a factor then second-hand PS4s are cheap, I've seen them for £100 which I think is around $125

2020-06-09 18:51:14

I understand that you can say nothing more for now.
Just, when you will can, can you say us how to activate the TTS for the people who hasn't the console in English?
In all cases, I'm very exciting!

This is lovely, it's not often that you get to see a seed being planted like this, if the timecoded link doesn't work the relevant bit is from 24:15 to 24:45 - https://twitter.com/ianhamilton_/status … 4973092865

Hi.

This is great but I hope I can turn on tts when starting the game, I live in the UK and don't have tts an option.

also, I really don't want to be negative as this is awesome but from what I'm hearing, we won't know there's glass in front of us, I heard it smash but no tts saying glass in x feet or whatever.

I will deffinetly be giving this a go smile

I don't really understand, what is this video? Can you explain?
I just have a little doubt. There are a lot of accessibility options, and I love it. But does that mean that we will have no challenges? Display on "L3" to face the objective, and move forward ... Doesn't that make things much easier?
And that was not mentioned in the article, or else I did not read it well, imagine that we are on a street. The main objective is at the end of the street. How do you know if there are houses on the side where you can enter?
Thank you and I can't wait to be on June 19!

@13 the game is blind accessible, and Brandon Cole is mentioned at the bottom of the article outlining the accessibility features, saying that Naughty Dog worked with Brandon to make it possible.

The video is a conference talk from 2017, of Naughty Dog saying that they have no idea whether it would be possible to make a game like The Last Of Us accessible, but that they would like to speak to Brandon (who was sitting in front of them in the audience) about whether it might be possible.

That was the first seed being planted that led to what's in the game today.

ok I understand.
I hope realy that the others devs will take for exemple this accessibility!

This is good stuff. I'm hoping there'l be a tutorial to explain what the various audio cues represent. Definitely getting more and more excited for this.

@16 every option on that page affects difficulty. Each option removes unnecessary difficulty that stops someone with some kind of disability from being able to have a fun experience, but for other people that option may remove a challenge that was fun. Every single option can be turned on and off individually, so you can adapt it to the level of challenge that suits your own needs and preferences.

it is realy excelent!
All people must say every where that now that it's did for a game, all devs must use the accessibility!

2020-06-09 20:06:03

It's getting to me a bit that when Elly picks up the note in the blind accessible video the tts doesn't read it out, but I'm sure it'll read out for us, i'm just excited.

Man, AD would be amazing but I don't expect it in this game, maybe the next one they make.

that is a lesson for all companies which says accesibility its not possible for they games. Good work Naughty_Dog! I hope this can serve for coming games in the future.

Sorry for my english

Just, holy, crap! hyped as hell. Looking forward to tweaking the settings and playing.

@23 that's actually the same post, they put it up in a few different places

I'm pretty skeptical about most things, but this is big, and knowing that certain people had a big hand in this helps to allay any doubts.
