Notes before playing: this game is not a clone of Alternative Magic, nothing taken from the source. Objectives will also be redone to avoid it turning into a clone. The sounds are the same as the Pine Attack betas, so is most of the story. It's currently only the main game, but it's complete. In other words, you can go all the way to the final boss, then beat it and that's ware it ends for now. Postgame will be introduced in 1.1. For new players, their is no walking around with the arrows, it's all text and menu based. It's also completely in English, so you can play with whatever synth you want, you're not forced to use Pro Talker. Their are still small bits of Japanese, but the documentation gives you like 3 options of avoiding that. Remember, the original Blank Game 1 was removed. I will redo Objectives and say that it's The Blank Game 1.
Story: After what happened in Objectives, these people called Boy and Girl (from Bookbook 3) decided to do something called Matthing. Matthing is when you make something love math, and not be able to be controlled. In Bookbook 3, they were able to do it to the Last Hope, which is a sword from Shadow Rine.
Now with their ability to math things, they thought of maybe trying it on a human or, a whole family! Boy and Girl learned that they could also create things using bioenergy and math what they had created, so it would obey them.
After doing some research, the decision was made to math the Lava Lans, a family who started appearing in Bookbook 4.
Though they were able to get the biocontrol system set up, they couldn't even start the matthing process. After the Lava Lans found out what was happening to them, they decided to have a family meeting and think about stopping Boy and Girl's matthing abilities.
Sierra, who is at least a decent fighter (since she grew up in Tenchijousen) went to stop Boy and Girl. However, their is a much bigger adventure ahead of her than just stopping two people's small pranks...

Wow, sounds... odd? I've never read the books so I'm missing a huge amount of context. Either way, good job on this game.

If you for whatever reason wish to contact me, the best way to do so is through Discord (Minionslayer#2980). You'll get the quickest response times, and by extension, a higher priority. I also sometimes post my thoughts (for the better or worse) over on Twitter at @Minionslayer2.

Stupid question, but is this in English?

Hopefully, we'll get a fully accessible open world game someday.

2020-05-10 14:02:40

Yes, it's in English. It was made using a Japanese programming language, but the game is completely playable in English.
Here is how to get around the parts that can't be translated.
If you choose continue from the main menu and you haven't saved a game before, you will get 5 Japanese options starting with numbers. The messages after the numbers mean no data.
In the equipment menu, the first option is in Japanese. It will allways be in Japanese, and it means: nothing. For weapons that's using your hands to punch, and for armor that's no armor.
Other than that, it's playable without any translation.

Hey cool! Gonna give this a shot as I have enjoyed the first attempt at this.

2020-05-10 15:43:15

Have you, or would you consider putting some in-game content that will get the player caught up with the events of the first game and its extra reading material, similarly to how the bk games did?

2020-05-10 16:08:51

A quick question. Is there a way to control the battle frequency like the first version allowed for, or was that Alternative Magic thing

2020-05-10 16:22:12

I don't know if I can put it in the game, but I can write a document containing a recap about Objectives and the books.
About battle frequency, that was part of the Alternative Magic source and that would take a complete rewrite of the game to add in.

That's totally cool. I was just wondering.
I just went through power serge... twice. Apparently the boos respawns? Is that intentional?

2020-05-10 16:41:25

Yeah, a recap in a document would be awesome! smile

hi. I was waiting a long time for this. downloading it right now. can't wait to play.

2020-05-10 17:16:02

Yes, some boosses will keep reviving if you need cash or experience.

2020-05-10 17:35:57

one more thing. I 3 or 4 shot the power serge boss. can you incrise it's health? that was a pushover for the first boss.

2020-05-10 17:45:49

I agree with 13. Currently in inequalities and the game is just a tad bit too easy.
Also. Some enemies use items and yet I still get them after the fight. Is that a bug?

2020-05-10 17:51:36 (edited by boy 2020-05-10 17:52:30)

I'm currently working on balancing the damage and stats of the enemies. About the enemies using the items and you still getting them, that's just how it works. They have unlimited uses of items, but as their HP gets lower and lower they will stop using them.

one more thing. I am in demise or domination after misteryes of the ainchons. it tells me that gurganchan has new skills but there are no new skills. do you know wy?

2020-05-10 20:47:26

If it made the sound and said that he can use some new skills, that's a simple issue with the item numbers and an easy bug for me to fix in 1.1.

That's because the normal punch attacks are unbalanced, and the enemies won't be able to use them soon. Just save before you get into the fight with the ice types, and pack a lot of Life Recovers.

. I am now in the pokemon forest. I can take out the djim leaters but I am stuck with the robot and the blade night. simpply the robot is overpowerd. one powerbome and I die.

2020-05-10 23:38:02

If you're talking about the part ware you have to defend Paid My Dues, just use Tripple Slash on the Robot. That should take it out. I thought I didn't give the robots any Powerbombs. Also, they only do 50 damage. If they're doing 245 damage, that's the wrong type of bomb and I'll soon be uploading a patch for 1.0 that fixes some small buggs and balances the difficulty.

yes. that part. and yes. the robots are using powerboms not normal boms. edit. I am in the sound folder and a sound from the sound list is missing.

2020-05-11 12:26:51

That list is slightly out of date. If you mean the game is giving you an error in Japanese, can you paste the error here so I can translate it?
Just because the sound list says that one of the sounds is missing, that means it was removed because it wasn't needed. Were you able to get passed the robot with Tripple Slash? Another option would be to use a Charm Attack. Since it doesn't have a weapon, it would use normal punches witch are currently way too overpowered. It will kill itself in one punch, and if you're lucky, kill the Blade Knight as well.

why not save after level, where there is music pokemon, because then begin the complex battle and have a lot of time listening to that stupid music again and again. I'm talking about the level where Pokémon fights.

2020-05-11 12:55:07

After some test playing, I am now fixing a lot of buggs. If you're having a hard time with the game, I'd say go play something else for now because you might need to restart so your copy can reset all the ms (enemy) data. I just checked out Leefox, and other than his attacks, I'd say he's a pretty hard final booss. And no, don't think that you can use Jenny to one shot him. Even he can't be one shot by Jenny! You will have access to her power for the Bioplace, final booss and postgame, but Leefox has too much defense for her to one shot him.
I've found the following bugs in the game. Have you players found any others?
You don't get Erratic Battler when it says you do.
95 percent of the enemies and boosses need redoing (shouldn't take very long).
The Quidditch match in the post... Ah crap, now I guess you know what your first task is in the postgame. Yep, their is an entire area about Harry Potter to begin.

another bug. an attack does over 300 damage. about the sounds. I haven't got enny errors. the sound that is missing is 2017. edit. one more bug. sometimes wen you die the music still plays. for egzample. spoilers. demise or domination atakt. if you get a game over the battle music continues to play. also some phone calls are verry fun.
