So please accept my sincerest thanks for your thoughts, feedback, error logs and support.
Without further ado, here's some of what you can expect in version 1.0.0:

Enjoy a much smoother gaming experience with built-in voicing or your preferred screen reader!
No longer should the game over-load your screen reader when viewing large amountts of textt, like the credits screen.
Spoken text now appears on-screen for the enjoyment of low vision players!
First letter menu navigation is now available!
Fixed a few bugs which ruined the game for some players, like the one that endlessly eatts up your supplies in challenging or difficultt modes.

Eliminated the pesky "Proceed to checkout " prompt in the shopping menu!
TTS and other Settings now auto-save and auto-load when the game exits or starts, respectively instead of loading when you loaded your save game.

Hi Jason, Thanks for letting me know. If you do not mind, could you send me an e-mail and let me know what version of windows you are running. Also, does this happen every time you try to open the game? or does this happen here and there? Any info you can give will be invaluable to help fix this issue. [email protected]

Hi,

This is a fun little time waster. A few suggestions:

1. Allow checking out from the menu where you select what to add to your shopping cart. As of right now, the only way to do so is to put an item in your cart.

2. Allow keyboard input rather than scrolling through letters and numbers. It's very tedious.

That's all for now. smile

I've been going by Bryn, which is now reflected in my profile. Please do your best to respect this :) Mess ups are totally OK though, I don't mind and totally understand!

Hello masonian and thank you so much for the constructive feedback. I will look into getting the checkout process to work in the item selection menu. As for the scrolling text-entry menus, I am sorry you didn't like them. I was going for a retro-feel, reminiscent of some old NES titles. I will take your thoughts into consideration in my future development. I might even look into a way of doing both, allowing users the ability to customize their gaming experience further. Happy gaming!

Hi,
@Cerulean your last point, about both, is exactly what Masonian means. Quite a few games would just have your menu like normal, but for those who knew the process, they could just press a letter or number to jump to the option they wanted, or, in some games, it would even go directly into the next menu if it was just one option with that letter.
I don't know where to find this, but a good example was the audiogame Star Trek final conflict. It'd say "helm h", or you could just go up and down through the main menu and it'd tell you the shortcuts as you went. On the next turn I ended up pressing h and then w to warp, I think. I can't remember, it's been a while since playing that game, but it made going through turns, once I knew the process, a lot easier, but at the same time, if I was in a more nostalgic mood, I could just use the menu, and no settings had to be tweaked at all because the game just accepted both from the outset, I didn't have to choose one or the other. Same if a battle happened that seemed urgent, I could just start issuing commands much quicker and then use the menu when things got quieter, even though it was turn based, it still felt very epic to take this approach.

Having the same issue as Jason, on windows 7.
One possible angle to look into is if you're accessing the internet at startup: I see this from the vast majority of games made with this toolkit if they aren't ready to handle being blocked by a firewall.
Looking forward to trying this out!

2020-04-09 15:13:38

Well, the same is happening to me, but for me, the game doesn't want to launch. It says that faital error, no error message or something like that, and the fail to execute the lemon script, much like jason's.
I want to play this, please help? BTW, my windows version

I quite like this game. Works fine on my windows 10 machine. For people who are having problems, try deleting your temp folder. run dialog and %temp% and press enter. Just delete everything in there. I had a few games that were programmed in python that suddenly quit working and my second method above fixed all of that. I honestly don't know why issues arrive for some people and other successful attempts, just work.

This is a cool little time waster, but I have a suggestion, as well as a way to find out what is causing the error.
The suggestion:
Add first letter navigation to the typing input, or better yet, to all the menus. What I mean by first letter navigation is if I press, for example, c, it would move to the letter C
And for the way to find out about that error:
import sys

f2 = open('Errors.log', 'a')
sys.stderr = f2

Then have people having that issue paste the content of errors.log

HTH and I hope you do more with this project!

Hi,
I played it. It was really interesting. What I have a question about is that the goal we select, say for example, $200 in 30 days, do we have to have it with us or should it be the one which we get in the bank about how much we have earned?
I also liked what you did to the input fields. I was also  wondering if something like this could be added wherein people would tell if the lemonade was too sweet or too sour rather than just declaring it bad.

No error for me. Pretty intresting game, and I've already mastered everything. The purchasing dynamic, he recipe, etc. As someone who comes from a family of business people I'm pretty good at these types of games.
My suggestions:
1. What Mason said. Its kinda annoying where you make a purchase, and you either have to delete something from the cart and put it back again, or you have to buy something else. Its kinda irritating to have to spend unnecessary money.
2. Seasonal pricing. I love wwhat this game is doing ith the prices. Some games unrealistically raises the prices everytime you buy, but I don't like that. But I think to make the game more challenging you can make the prices loer or raise based on the current season. Like in the summer, lemons and sugar ill be cheaper, hile in the winter posters and cups will be cheaper, while sugar and lemons more expensive. The seasons may also inpact the frequency in which its stormy, or whether or not people buy lemonade. Who buys lemonade when its -15 Celsius?
3. Markets. The online system works, howwever why not add a  market? Prices at these local markets may be cheaper, however you have a higher chance of getting rotten or spoiled lemons. But the plus side is for when you do get good lemons, your customers praise you for supporting local business and are much happier supporting you.
4. Branching out into other businesses. We're not going overboard with this one, but here me out. You can still sell lemonade, but later on, you have the option to make brownies, or sell candies. It can be a good way of adding extra game time and thinking to the game and help promoting your aim of this game, business managemtn.
I had another idea, but that would sorta take away from the game. That was franchising. You higher other kids to set up other stands for you a across the town. The franchising thing can still be sorta viable if you nclude other commodities.
Thanks and keep it up.
A little tip to you guys, don't sell your lemonade to expensive, or people will walk away, but at the same time don't go to cheap, or else you won't make any profit.
I also have the secret formula if anyone wants it Ping me.
