does the PS2 core work?
The PS2 core does not work good. You can use it if you want, but it is not recomended due to the fact that the core is very unstable and have audio and video glitches.
@flameAlchemist, The core strait-up crashed for me when loading Parappa the Rapper 2. I believe it's not in a proper release phase, I just know it's still recent, starting up in 2019 in memory serves.
I got dbz budokai to load, but could not get to a battle
hi. how do I turn on the accessible mode for the android version of retroarch?
I am having an issue playing Nintendo 64 games in Retroarch. When I go to load a game, it crashes, and does not give me a log to figure out what the problem is. I have tried both cores available, and have not had any luck. Can somebody help me?
You can try switching video driver. You do that under settings\video\output
I heard somewhere on this thread that there is a patch that allows for NVDA support. If this is true, where can I get it, as I have tried researching on my own and cannot find it. I know it is not official, but I would rather have that than Microsoft David reading the menus to me. If you could send me a link, that would be great. Thank you!
is their a PS1 core that works?
Beatel psx, you have to rip your own bios though.
Does anyone have a link to a patch to support NVDA in retroarch? I would rather have that than hearing Microsoft David talking to me. If anyone has a patch, please send it to me. Thank you!
@phoenix1991 It should be in the next release. It's being merged into master now.
hello
BarryR, it's so great! I am looking forward to try it out!
can you answer on some questions?
are you thinking about trying to add some accessibility features to other platforms?
and does the lakka os versions for windows, linux and rasbery py have this features?
That will be amazing. I use retroarch with the AI service on a dayli bases.
Ok, so i've been asking this previously, but it has been so long ago that i checked this thred. are there any free games available to play with retro arch?
You need to get the games yourself. If you have the console and the game for it, you need to dump the game to your PC
@arturminyazev No other platforms are planned at the moment. We would need developers to work on those. As for Lakka OS, it's linux, so it works, assuming espeak is installed on it.
@ashleygrobler04: There are Homebrew games, but those are probably not accessible. Retroarch is for playing emulated games from older game consoles, pretty much. So, you'll need to get one that is more easily played, like a fighting game. Of course, I recommend Dissidia Final Fantasy for the PSP but that's just me. Others may recommend Mortal Kombat, or Tekken, or something like that. The most legal way is to have your game console "dump" the game onto an SD Card or USB drive for you to play on your computer; sighted assistance will be required.
Everyone: I've updated the retroarch accessibility guide, with updated steps for turning on accessibility mode now that Ozone is the default menu. It seems a little weird to me, with menu items appearing to jump around a bit, maybe I'm holding down the down arrow button for too long or something but its probably just me, so I gave instructions for changing back to XMB as well. Please post here if you have trouble with Ozone as well and I'll make an issue about it.
Wow, looks awesome! I can't wait for official NVDA support. That's gonna rock! Just need to figure out these audio stuttering issues before I can move to Retroarch as a primary emulator.
does retro arch update itself? if not I can go get the latest version.
@devinprater I think the problem with Ozone compared to XMB, is that there is a another menu to the left that lists the main sections (menu, settings, etc.). So while with XMB to press left/right to go through the different main menus, with ozone you press left/cancel to go into the left main menu, up/down to scroll through that menu, and the right/accept to go into that menu's options (for example: main menu, load core, load content). For blind navigation it seems more complicated compared to XMB.
Na, I really like the new menu actually.
