Hello, my friend!  Look, would it be possible to include in the next update the possibility to choose whether to turn with the gyroscope or with a finger?

2020-04-16 22:48:34

Anything is possible. Please send me an email at the address I provided above or you can go to MentalVisionGames.com and send me an email that way. There is a deadline for this constructive feedback. May 31st is the deadline. looking forward to your ideas. Happy hunting.

hello The only e-mail that i have, is the one i registered to this form with, and i forget the info to it as i only used it for registering things that didn't let me make others, but i only use them pretty much as dump e-mails, so i'm goignt o put a suggestion here, well, a few actually. First, can we please, please, stop using microsoft david in the menus. It lags a lot this way, and i feel like having menu's that show up on screen and useing voice over or if this is on android as well talk back might be better then self voiced menus. Also, the targeting system, oh god the targetting system. Its hard to tell when things are behind you, from in front of you, and especilaly when playing on bluetooth headphones (some people don't hae adaphters for there wired headphones) the little tracking beacon, is not very useful in my opinion. I'm saying don't keep things in front, but maybe more of an instant vibration or something that isn't exactly audio based, but still noticeable. Also, is the issue where if you completed levels, it said you got ticket or tokens or whatever you get for completing levels, then you go to the shop and you have absolutely nothing? was that fixed, or are you still making us pay for those types of things. Because of the issues i stated above needing to be fixed, i havent' kept up with the game much so I don't know.

@Maranatà and @TheTrueSwampGamer:
How can it be that difficult to understand the message below? Okay, let me say this more clearly: If you have any suggestions for the new release he and his team is working on, you have to send him an email with your suggestions. This forum here is not an email system you know, so that means posting your suggestions here does simply not work.
So why is a developer asking people to send emails with suggestions instead of posting them on a forum? Then he can forward all the suggestions to the rest of the team, put all the suggestions in one place to discuss in the team, instead of browsing through a ton of posts in at leased two forums, this forum here and the Applevis forum, and maybe some mailling lists as well, not to forget Twitter, Facebook and other social medias.
So, if you really want your suggestions to be taken serious, then you need to do what the developer is asking for. So please, read his post again:

OK everyone. Here is your chance to make your opinions count. I have just finalize the negotiation for chapter 3 for CMR. One of my conditions was to provide a list of user game issues that need to be fixed. If you send me an email with constructive suggestions or frustrating issues. I will submit them to my team and they will be fixed prior to chapter 3 launch. your recommendations will be taken seriously as long as they are within reason. If you provide constructive feedback, it will help increase the level of gameplay for everyone. we can all do this and be proud of it together. Please send your feedback and constructive suggestions to my email. [email protected]
Happy hunting

@273: Nah, that was because the Company Somethin' Else said that their Audiogames branch wasn't making enough Money, so they shut it down.

Greetings and happy gaming, Julian

If you say you never lie, you're a liar.

Yeah, audio defense was better on release day than this game will ever be, and that is because of two very, very big things. The first is that the people making the game we’re quite passionate about it and actually cared about their audience, so they released the game only when they were sure the major bugs were fixed. The second reason is because the in app purchases were not predatory. for example, in this game, in its present state, you can only earn a certain amount of tokens, and endless mode, or quack shot, does not give you tokens. I don’t mind having to buy endless mode with in game currency, but when I am limited in how much money I can get, what that tells me is that I have no other option but to buy it with real money. Yes, if you want to earn money in The Game, you have to first pay for the right amount of tokens with real money. That never happened in audio defense. in audio defense, you earned tokens simply by killing enemies, but in this game, you can only earn tokens in certain places, and only once, even if you start a new game. so, not only did they release the game broken, buggy, and unfinished, but they didn’t even give you the means to play it without spending real money. I am legitimately concerned that this is the future of gaming as a whole because I have heard of many, many instances like this with sided games. I am of the belief that this is not general incompetence on display, but very, very deliberate means of grabbing at our wallets.

2020-04-25 03:45:34

I do not really want to dignify that false statement with a response but, here we go. A D Costed you $3.99 or $4.99. They already had their brand established when a d was released. Did you ever play papa Sangre one? It had a lot of bugs. as I recall. Audio defence crashed a lot. thank you for your opinion. If your not a part of the solution then...

2020-04-25 04:09:01

Funny. This game does not have bugs then does it? Absolutely none, only the daily wheel bug which I would notice in 2 days of testing the game. Audio defence however did not have this beautiful lag and it was a smooth game, compared to this one. You know what's even better? It had a smooth menu as well. It did not ask you to log in so you can do something, and it did not constantly annoy you to tell you that you can double tap to do this, swipe right to do that, up to do this and so on after each level loads. So a genuine question, what actually happens when you disable instructions in settings? I didn't see any difference myself. Stop throwing other games and developers under the buss. Once you have a finish product you can compare your game to something. Right now, early alpha, nothing more, nothing less.

Joe. I'm really getting tired of this attitude. Knock it off.
you're expecting to get respect from the community, and then you turn around and make a snarky comment like that? You need to accept that your game has issues and work to resolve them.
The controls lag, your daily wheel has issues, the UI for entering facebook login info is not intuitive to put it nicely. like it or not you're forcing people to pay to unlock features instead of allowing them to grind out tokens. And your give me respect because I'm blind attitude is getting old.
I think before you do anything else, you need to really sit down and figure out how you can improve. yes I understand that you are directing a team and do not do your own coding. That's fine. But like it or not your team is failing you, and that failure unfortunately falls on your shoulders since you are the spokesman.
People are tired of the excuses. they're tired of the attitude, and they want a game that is not going to be full of bugs and false promises.

Much less active on this forum than in the past.

Wow. From you too Liam? I guess I'm not welcome around here after all. I wasn't giving negative attitude Or excuses Liam. I'm just tired of having to defend myself, my team, and my project  here. I am aware that CMR isn't meeting The standards we all have become accustomed to. I do not have the budget like Somethin Else. Somethin Else Games had a multi million dollar budget. They did not just create video games. They are a huge media Corporation all over Europe. I am just a microscopic particle compared to them. You can not expect CMR to be the best thing ever createed. I hoped and dreamed it would be just as good. I never believed it was going to be better. I just wanted to fill the void when A D left us. I thought that is what we all wanted. CMR is not a finished product yet. We still have three chapters to go. I only released it early because, I was asked to buy A bunch of people in our community. I thought that if I released CMR before it was finished, I would receive the feedback we needed to make this game good enough for our community to be proud of. if you think this was a stupid idea, I'm sorry. I cannot walk away until CMR is finished. I owe that to our community to finish CMR. hopefully make it the best it can become. I was just asking for help. I did not do this for me. I just wish you knew my heart and why I even started this project. I thought I could do it and I tried. Nobody else even attempted to try. Why is it so hard to say, thank you Joe? We got your back man. If you changed or fixed this certain aspect of CMR, I think it would make CMR even better. That's all I am asking from our gaming community. Not your money. definitely not your negativity or hostility. Can't A Blind brother get some love? what has happened to our community? It feels like it's falling apart. I don't want to fail you or myself. I Just need some support. I have never been hard to get a hold of if you have issues. I don't want that to change. Why should I keep spending my own money on this game F nobody really wants it? I just want to finish this project. If you want me to go away after that, I will. No more shades of newbie around here if that's what you agree on. just think about that for a day before you tare me down again. Stay safe and be careful.

I will always stand the side of mentalVision. Why? Because, I was a beta tester. And I really enjoyed the project. It might have a few flaws, but, everybody’s not perfect. do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law!!

2020-04-25 15:08:31

I am mnot entirely sure whether you need this told 10 or 50 times, but noone is mad because you did not finish your 3 remaining chapters. The continuation of the story can wait. What needs addressing however are the obvious game flaws that have been mentioned throughout this thread as well as the one on Applevis, and that is much more important at this point than finishing the story. I won't comment on these emotional outbursts, there's really no appropriate response for that. While I can understand you, I'm not entirely sure what you have been expecting when developing. Simpathy and love just because, you know, we are blind? Well, sorry, that's some other world. Can you tell me who exactly told you that you should go away or that noone wants you here? Nobody, so stop making it look like everyone is against you. If telling you that your game has obvious bugs means go away, then that's your understanding, and the community isn't to blame for that. In fact, how you log in yourself without being annoyed is still a mistery to me. I'm not sure how much you use your IPhone and voiceover, perhaps not a lot, in which case maybe I could understand why you wanted to simplify it, but then you should listen to people who have more experience. If this is incorrect however and you do use your I device normally in daily situations, then I am really not sure how anyone can say hey, this system is so intuitive, let's release it. As I have told you before and will repeat again, good luck whatever you decide to do. I have nothing personal against Joe, and probably noone else does, but your development team really needs to play test some of this stuff. I have a feeling they really do not understand how blind peple use phones and are trying to over simplify things for no reason.

@Joe80: I haven't followed this topic very much, and I don't know all what has happened, but:
You say you don't get any support? Believe me: If people wouldn't support you and give you some feedback, then people wouldn't even post in this topic, or other topics.
So, you are indeed getting support, lots of it, and people are telling you what you need to fix to make your game better.
Would you instead prefer, that people kept quiet and didn't post their opinions, just like they didn't cared at all about the game?
I promise you: If people didn't cared, they wouldn't post at all.

Best regards SLJ.

I don't think any of us asked you to release your game early. Why are you compairing yourself to Something Else? It just sounds like your compairing yourself to them. Just because some of us give you feedback doesn't mean you have to throw a pitty party and leave. It don't work like that. Stick your game in the forge again and rehammer it untill it comes out all smooth. Asking for feedback is always good, but freeking out when theirs criticism coming your way not so good. Sometimes you just got to deal with it and see if you can take anything from that persons feedback.

Becoming the circus master

By Joseph Quirk
owner of Mental Vision Games LLC

I remember as a sighted child at the age of seven, My older brother and I would Play the Atari on occasion. Especially, when we were both bored and had nothing better to do. Growing up, I had somewhat of a difficult time. Living between a divorced family is difficult. Video games seem to distract me from the sadness of reality. Growing up was fun but, having supervision from an adult was rare. I got in trouble because I listen to the wrong people. Needless to say, I learn from my mistakes.

After high school, I join the US military. That was something I always wanted to do. I serve my country in Afghanistan and Iraq. I came home and used my knowledge towards an education in electronics. I learned as much as I could and enjoyed helping people.

Later in life, I got married. My wife also liked to play video games. That was always fun. I started my career with the veterans Administration Hospital. I used my electronics background to help people who were sick, get better. That made everything I had been through worth it. It also made my heart happy. I love my job because I could help people and enjoy what I did every day. It gave me a sense of purpose, I felt like I belonged in this crazy world.

I was shot in 2013. Just an innocent person in the wrong place at the wrong time. I was lucky to be alive after being shot in my head. Doctors were shocked that I survived. One doctor told my mother that I must have a strong heart. Getting out of the hospital was very difficult for me. I was blind and thought my life was over. Boy was I wrong! I went to the blind rehab center in Chicago Illinois, for visually impaired veterans. They taught me that living with this disability was not the end of the world. I could manage and overcome any obstacle. I could do anything I put my mind to. They would help me. They would not let me fail. I didn't even know they had video games for visually impaired gamers. I was very surprised. Gaming as a blind person became a good hobby for entertainment. it's soon became an addiction and a passion. communicating with other visually impaired gamers is where I found community.

My first book was published in January 2018. I am still very proud of that accomplishment. It took me a while to shift into something else. I still played The same video games. they really never got better or interesting enough for me. After a year or so, I got bored. There wasn't much for my community. Especially, games that were action based. I felt my purpose change. I searched and searched. I finally found a digital software company who was willing to make my dream come true. I gave them my rough draft for Circus Master Revenge. They were excited.
In a year and a half of hard work and socializing within the visually impaired community, the Circus Master Revenge made the Apple store. I finally realized that dreams can come true if you're willing to work for them.

My advice to anyone with any disability, keep your head up and let your imagination create your most beautiful picture. Only then will you let your spirit fly. Only then will you become what you were meant to become. Believe in your dreams. Nobody else can do that for you. One thing I have had to learn the hard way is, Always do your own research. Friendships will always surround you, when you are accomplishing  your own goals and helping others. that is the ultimate human purpose. Helping one another is the way life is supposed to be.

Awesome story. Still waiting on an android port of this game. So what is the name of your book for people who want to look it up?

2020-05-06 10:33:49

My book is called, The Mogul Hotel and Casino. I really enjoyed writing it. Warning! I am still writing the sequel. i'm only halfway done with it.
Here is the latest update:
The CMR team is back to work now. They are all working from home and hopefully will have fewer distractions. I sent them the emails I have received about issues and feedback people sent. Just to reestablish the deadline for feedback and issues, is May 30, 2020. as far as launching CMR on Google play, we are all still learning the development attributes, rules, and regulations. I really don't feel comfortable launching CMR on Google play until, we fix the issues gamers are having with it on iOS first. I don't think it would be right to release on a different platform knowing that people are having issues with it. I might not have a good reputation but, I don't want a worse one. When I have more information and a confident timeframe to launch on Google, I will post it here. Thank you and  Happy hunting.
