This has started happening recently, every time I open a file in notepad++ or tab to a notepad++ window with an open file, NVDA seems to freeze for a few seconds before I can do anything. Restarting my laptop doesn't make a difference. Has anyone else experienced this, and does anyone know what to do about it?

Yes, I have experienced it too, although I don't know what is causing it. Most of the time it just happens out of nowhere and persists until the update for notepad++ comes. Some years ago it happened quite often but within the last year I haven't experienced it any more.

You can upgrade to nvda 2019.2 beta, will fix the issue. Will get you on the stable branch of nvda once 2019.2 is out, and keep you there. Alternatively, installing notepad++ x86 or an older version might fix the issue, but I'd recommend you upgrade to nvda beta.

i use nvda 2019.2 and it works fine with notepad ++

yeah, 2019.2 beta works fine with it, idk why 2019.1.1 doesn't.

i m on nvda 2019.1.1 and it doesn’T happen for me.
